The hotel was average but the price was well above average. The staff was cold and unfriendly. We paid a premium price for our stay and they still charged us an extra $15 a night for parking. More

So, I have to say that this type of hotel seems a bit out of place in downtown Tacoma, but that's not a bad thing per se, it just might be a bit too upscale for Tacoma...that's what I'm getting at. Just spent the weekend in Tacoma and of course chose the Murano. It is by far the best place to stay - great location, wonderful staff, cool decor, and excellent rooms. The bar warrants a stop even if you're not staying in the hotel, but seriously, if you're in Tacoma stay at the Murano. More
