Knight's Inn KC is under new management. Expect the building conditions to improve and some changes overall to begin relatively soon. New owner has several scheduled renovations and upgrades to this 50+ year old structure.

We were traveling with our son and two grandchildren. It was late and the other hotels we called were booked. The manager on duty was pleasant. I asked to see a room before booking. The room I looked at was just okay. We got two non-smoking rooms (full-size, not queen beds), both of which had a faintly musty smell. Our room had a not-so-clean plastic shower curtain and cigarette burns on the edge of the bathtub. The pressure in the shower was great. The refrigerator in the room did not work. The beds were well used. We did not see much in the way of breakfast selection here, so drove across the street to McDonald's.

I have returned to this motel more than once a week for several years. The beds have always been very comfortable. The TV has plenty of good channels to pick from. The shower has very good pressure. The breakfast has sausage, biscuit, juice and coffee, or you can walk right across the street to a McDonalds. If you want a beer, you can walk across the street to the truck stop. If you want wine or need groceries, you can head about one mile down to the Kroger store which is open till Midnight. Another real plus for me is that I can park bigger vehicles such as motorhomes, or semi tractors or even the trailer with the extra truck parking in the back.

This is a low cost motel, 50's a night lately, so don't expect anything fancy, modern or in real great shape but for the cost it's a decent place to stay. I usually stay here a few times a year when going to visit relatives. The bed was comfortable and the two times I stayed in 2018 they had an excellent hot breakfast. They had hot sausage patties and gravy with biscuits in addition to the usual cold cereal and toast type stuff. So, I will be staying here a couple more times in 2019 as I pass through Charleston WV.

Arriving into town very tired from driving. We were tired and decided to stay here. It just seemed ok and was too tired to actually realize what we were getting into. After sleeping that night in a not so clean room, we were contemplating on checking out for the remainder of our stay. After going to the office at 9:05 to get the free breakfast and some coffee, I was told that breakfast was over! Really?? On a Saturday morning during the holidays! I said ok, reluctantly and went back to our room to make some coffee. WOW! What a surprise I got! I went to pour H2O into the pot and it was actually filled with what seemed to be muddy or rusted H2O. I immediately unplugged it and took it to the office. I received an apology and was told to come back in 5mins and they would make me some coffee. I said ok. I went back and got my coffee and was told that housekeeping would bring me another coffee maker later. Oh, and the xtra pillows that I asked for at check-in, but wasn’t able to get that night, as well. Went back to the room and decided I could no longer stay here. Went to the office to tell them we were going to leave and although we checked in for 4 days and only stayed 1, we could only get 2 days cancelled. Even though it was well before the 11:00 checkout time. At this point I just wanted out! Wasn’t until later after meeting with family and friends that we had learned what we didn’t know about this place. I’m very sorry that it didn’t work out. But this place needs to do a lot of ungrading and think about catering to overnight people instead of by the hour clientele. If your into that scene then this place is for you! Otherwise, choose somewhere else. There are plenty of better places in the same vaciinity. ⭐️ Quality... but I guess you get what you pay for. SAD!

Only things going for this place, inexpensive (found coupon in travel book) and comfy beds. Bathroom was dingy, toilet seat was broken so was interesting when you had to sit. I wouldn't have showered, let alone bathed in tub. Dirt in bathroom corners. Walls patched but not painted. Breakfast was awful. Only gravy, biscuits and overcooked sausage patties. Both Apple and orange juices were very watered down. Surprisingly, there was AAA Diamond Rating on check in counter. Wonder what their standards include!!! Have stayed at other Knights Inns without issues. This one was horrible.

Stopped here for a few hours sleep after a long day of traveling. It had some mixed reviews but was supposedly clean, and that’s what we were looking for at a fair price. Should have paid more and stayed elsewhere. Opened the door to room and overwhelming old musty smell. Room in general extremely worn. Did not walk on carpet without shoes as it was disgusting. Worst place we’ve ever stayed.

Open door and the room smelled awful! Chairs at the table were worn and ripped. Cabinet at the sinks were nasty and dusty with hair on it. Bathroom - tub looked dirty with hair in it. Wouldn’t put my dog in it. Toilet seat looked like it was 100 years old and burnt marks on it. Carpet edges were dirty. They had a pool outside. No water. lol They were serving breakfast food. Ummm.... no thank you - gross! 😷🤢
