The hotel is extremely outdated! The room we stayed in had textured flowered wallpaper, non complimentary flowered bedspreads and curtains! The bathroom is very small and the TV was something out of the 90's. On the positive side, the room was clean and nice sized. We did not use the restaurant but did stop in the bar and it was... More

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel previously. It is not very nice to begin with. Passable at best. We made a reservation by phone complete with confirmation numbers in september 2011 for WVU's graduation weekend, 5/11/12-5/14/12. We were planning on taking the kids and making a long weekend out of it and we booked 3 nights in... More

This is a quite large hotel that has many amenities. I will agree with other reviewers that it needs a major overhaul. The furniture and fittings are very dated - heavy textured wallpaper, and rather hideous bedspreads. However, everything was clean, and in good repair. I thought that most major chains have gone to flat screen TVs, but the one... More

We checked in amidst a torrential thunderstorm - hotel seemed old but was quite clean. Room was fine, bed was comfortable, plumbing all worked OK. Because of the weather, we were glad that there was a restaurant on the premises - the food was fine, they served liquor, the server was very cheerful and friendly. The "free" breakfast buffet was... The sign says 100% smoke free, but they really needed to clean the rugs, walls and in general, the place. As i was in line, two customers in front of me changed their rooms due to the smell of smoke and moldy walls. Our room was passable, we were armed with Lysol. We asked for a refrigerator to keep our... More

This is definately a property in need of alot of TLC. As with many the photo's are overly kind. I didn't run into the mold but there was no hot water the evening of our stay. That said the staff was very pleasant and the breakfast buffet was the best we had on the trip. I was greatful for GPS... More

This property hasn't had an update in some time. The rooms are vintage and the motel still uses wall heaters that blast one with dry heat until it is turned off. The room then starts to get cold. The bathroom was clean and plenty of towels were available. The dog in the room across the hall was lonely and it... More

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE - HOLD is full of Black Mold! When we addressed the front desk they moved us to another moldy room stating they know they have a serious mold issue. Still made us pay over $100.00 for a room with MOLD!!! More

Everything's a bit too old and run down for what they charge here - the bathroom in our room looked like it was from the 60's. The room furniture and carpet were fine but the lobby looks very dated and a bit cheap. The complimentary breakfast was very good - buffet style eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles and... More
