We stayed at the Open Hearth for several days the week after Christmas. We picked this location because it was central (close to Penisula State Park, downtown Fish Creek, Sister Bay, etc) and the indoor swimming pool. The hotel is very "Door County" meaning North Woods decor, wonderful friendly staff, flavored coffees available, and tasty baked goods in the morning....

My parents live in Door County in the summer and we usually stay with them in the warmer months, but when we visit Door County in the winter, we stay here. The rooms are not luxurious, but they are comfortable--perfect if you have kids. They serve bakery goods each morning, and the owners are always willing to help you if...

This hotel provided everything we needed for a family get-together which included an infant, active three-year old, parents, grandparents, and a dog! Since weather was inclument while we were there, we really enjoyed the pool (nice size) and hot tub (where you meet other travelers). We appreciated the light breakfast, so we did not need to venture out into the...

We were welcomed by friendly owner in the warm and inviting lobby. The room was clean, offered more than the usual amenities, large, with a pretty view and the bed was very...

For our last night we stayed overnight in Sister Bay at a very nice hotel called Open...

Rooms were nice, bed was EXTREMLY comfortable, breakfast was filling (though not the best selection, but good for free). The pool was nice, and a good temp. Easy to find off the main drag. AC worked good. Overall, great place!

Last week was our first trip to Door County in many years so we weren't very familiar with the area's hotels. We were referred to this hotel by word of mouth and were very glad we chose it. Our room was very clean and large with a big window overlooking the back of the property which was landscaped with trees...

We stayed at the Lodge during a family trip. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. The location was quiet. A very enjoyable stay!
