Our stay at the Big Bear Motel was okay. The room was very clean and so-so comfortable, but that was it. The room was fine if you just want a place to sleep, just don't expect all the bells and whistles because they are not there! Obviously this is a motel, so there wasn't any shampoo, hairdryers, etc., so be... More

We didn't have plans on where to stay when we got to Cody, but we'd read about this place and decided to give it a try. It's a place to sleep, what else can I say. The rooms are older and dated and a bit musty. Kind of bare-bones, if you will. But for about $50 a night, it's a... More

On our way back from Yellowstone, we stopped for 2 nights in Cody, but only stayed 1 at the Big Bear. The room was very dark and gloomy. Lots of flies and not clean. The location is not great either a bit far from the centre.

This motel claims to be pet friendly but really isn't. The pet friendly rooms are 40 years old with 25 year old non working air conditioners. You pay extra for your pet but you get the worst rooms they have. BEWARE!

Room was clean, seemed new or recently remodeled, excellent location. Decoration of the rooms could be better to achieve the lodge look they seem to want (must change or eliminate the bedspreads and the parrot pictures). We could walk to the rodeo. they have a show every night in Cody . Can't complain for $99,

We were driving out of Yellowstone (east entrance) and it was getting late. I found Big Bear on Trip Adviser and saw the good reviews, plus it is pet friendly! After ringing the doorbell (it was 11:30 pm) the manager promptly checked us in. We got a great rate. This motor court style motel reminded me of my childhood. Big... More

Gentleman that checked us in was very helpful. Suggested the cafe across other road for breakfast. Good suggestion. Bed was comfy. Room was spotless. We travel well prepared, so for the stuck up people that think a hotel is there to provide Everything for them, please take a hairdryer. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Nice play area for... I would advise spending a little extra money and staying at a different facility. I am so glad I only had to spend one night in this place. The room was just not that good. The work space was depressing, you can see right through the towels and wash cloths, the hot water temperature was set to "Scald" and the... More

Thank you for your feedback about our motel, we appreciate every review, for it shows how we can improve. Our motel is a 2 star motel and some of our rooms are older and are maintained to the best shape we can keep them in. Our parking lot has been a mess of potholes lately, because it has been raining... More

After shopping around and staying in a different motel the first night, we found this one! Good, clean and good internet. Great price and we stayed 2 nights. Nice (real) towels, and very friendly staff.

We stopped here while visiting Cody and we fell into a great deal here. The hotel is not the Hilton but the Hilton don't offer the down home customer service small western town experience that this place offers. We are from the east coast and you could never find a true American owned place like this. The rooms are clean... More
