Charlie is the man. I had the Wild West sandwich that he recommended. My fiance has the pulled pork BBQ sandwich. Both meals were very good and had more than enough food to fill our stomachs. The establishment was very clean too.Everyone was very friendly Thanks guys for a good meal!

We had a long weekend in October and wanted to spend our time someplace we love to go and introduce other family members to it. It was another absolutely GREAT stay! We always have soooo much fun at Lava Mtn Lodge. Our family members had a wonderful time too. We were able to ATV, shoot, explore, and just hang out... More

Lava is one of my favorite destinations near YNP. This is my family's third visit and once again we have received outstanding service from all the staff. We especially enjoy visiting with Aaron and Nikki and James. They always mingle with the crowd to ensure everyone gets their needs met and has a great time. In addition, their hospitality and... I've stayed here multiple times over the past several years. This is one of the places I most look forward to staying at each year. Some years I make it here two or three times. It was a suprising treasure to find. Since then, I have come to find the location incredible, the staff accomodating and friendly (the owner actually... More

The "Big" House the house was dirty it had a bad smell the towels are old like rags you could use to clean the floor, everything is outdated had it not been for the natural beauty and opportunity to be with the family the trip had been a failure only one bathroom for 9 people

We arrived around 8:30 at night and were very hungry but the kitchen was closing in mere minutes. Not only did the waitress invite us in to eat, the kitchen staff kept the kitchen open late for us! The food was a bit pricey but I definately recommend the turkey reuben mmmmmm delicioso!!! The only complaint I would have is... More

The Lava Mountain Lodge was a site for our super tired traveling eyes. We arrived at 8:50 Friday night, after a full day of touring Yellowstone. When we got there we were all hungry and tired, but learned that they were to close the kitchen in 10 mins, however rather than telling us that we were out of luck, they... More

We loved our stay at Lava Mountain Lodge. We debated staying in their heated cabin, but opted for a hotel room because I didn't feel like hiking to the bathroom. The room was clean and spacious. We paid $10 extra so our dog could stay with us. The staff was very friendly and gave us tips on area hikes, etc.... More

Thank you for the review on TripAdvisor. We purchased Lava Mountain Lodge 6 years ago and have been making improvements while operating ever since. Our next project is to replace all bedding in our Lodge Rooms to improve on the great offerings. Lava Mountain Lodge offers queen beds in one room, long full beds in two rooms and the 7... More

We would like to thank the nice folks who wrote this review. The family arrived late as we had anticipated and we made sure to wait for them just in case they were hungry as we know there is no other place in the immediate area to eat after 9 pm. Upon arrival we checked them in and turned the... More
