Wife and I spent the night there on a whim. The place is clean, friendly, and well-maintained. Everything works. There’s a restaurant across the street. It’s quiet - walls are solid! Free coffee in the store in the AM.

Have stayed here before and enjoy the rustic cabins but this time wasn't as good. Cabin wasn't clean, shower stall looked as someone wash there dog off in shower, hair every wear, had to wear flip flops to take shower. Room needed cleaned and updates, stool wiggled around as floor underneath was rotted. Use to be quaint and decent little cabins but looks as they are not being taken care of.

Could not have imagined how filthy this cabin was. Floors and every other surface covered in dust and dirt, full of spiders. Most windows did not latch, screen door had gaps of 2-3 inches , flimsy door lock, no safety chain, bulbs burned out in overhead light . Shower floor had standing water, electricity flickered off and on when refrigerator compressor kicked in, strange smell when gas burner on stove lit. I was soooo happy I brought sheets, pillows and comforter from home. I put a plactic picnic table cloth on top of bed and put my bedding on top of it. Rustic is one thing but this cabin needs to be shut down and totally renovated or not rented out.

We were looking for a break from tent camping and found the perfect spot. At $58 a night ($64 with tax), this place did the trick. We had the Muleskinner cabin. Now keep in mind that although they have several cabins (by name), there are only three buildings. Each cabin (by name) is separated by a wall that provides the absolute minimum in sound barrier. The facility on the outside is worn but our cabin with 2 double beds was very clean, had clean sheets on very springy beds and a bathroom that was in order. The kitchen sink/stove with all utensils/pots was great and clean too. There is a small shared porch with a big refrigerator for your use. Free WiFi but definitely not dependable. Great restaurant across the street. They have a general store with EVERYTHING. Smoke and CO detectors in the cabins work! One step up from camping but satisfied "our" need.

The cabin we rented for one night had the basics like a shower, bathroom and a bed. We did sleep ok but the bed is kind of sinking and needs replacement for the money we paid. We got the key for our room and it was blazing hot inside. With No thermostat in sight I WENT to the store, operator clerk, and asked how to regulate the heater. She did not know at that moment, but told us later some VERY VAGUE instructions how to regulate the heat. Very difficult instructions but a nice and pleasant lady clerk.. The wagon wheel overhead light fixture looked like it had one half inch of dirt and dust on top. The floor of the cabin was uneven to the extreme, like walking up and down hills !!!! Never seen anything like that for a rental property. NEVER.. The floor was dirty at the bottom of the cabin walls, as well as the sagging flimsy curtains and window sills. Has anyone ever cleaned this place?? The venting of the furnace, for safety reasons, was kind of scary as it was a last minute add on, it appeared. Spider webs were prevalent. Questionable wiring to the refrigerator. About a 20 foot extension cord powers the refrigerator. Making reservations I KIND of expected our cabin to be near the woods or something like that, but was about 25 feet FROM HIWAY 230 !!! Check out time instructions were posted only on a very tiny piece of paper on the bathroom mirror that i noticed by accident. I do not mind renting a cabin in that condition if the price is reasonable, but this place is highly over priced in my opinion. And the entrance to the cabin is a joke, never been repaired in 30 years in my opinion. .
