This KOA has a glorious description in the KOA Campground book. When we arrived for our overnight stay, we discovered a gravel parking lot with hookups. Not even a tree to offer a little shade. The worse part was that it was situated directly behind a row of huge gas storage tanks. There was a small pool, laundromat, etc. We... More

This place is awful. I already wrote a review when KOA asked for one, but I saw the reviews here and thought I'd add mine. I stayed in a Kamping Kabin for (thankfully) one night. I couldn't believe it when I pulled onto the right road and drove past towering gas tanks. Other reviewers have mentioned these, but I gotta... More

Where do I begin? This was to be our first camping experience with our 8 year old son. We left Hot Springs South Dakota and drove for 8 hours to arrive at this facility in Rock Springs Wyoming. Imagine my surprise and disgust when I find this KOA campground tucked in behind a gigantic natural gas storage facility. NO...I am... More

As a town, Rock Springs gets high marks for friendliness. As a KOA, this one is managed by a very frightening person. and should be avoided. We normally avoid KOA's anyway because of the price, but we were stranded in town for 2-1/2 days and desperate for a place to set up tents for the kids so that the RV... More

We went on our first RV trip to Yellowstone National and stopped over in Rock Springs for the night. I wasn't sure what to expect from the KOA, but was pleasantly surprised on how clean the bathrooms and laundry room was. Along with the pool they had was just great for the kids. They had a cute store with just... More

This is the worst campground I have ever been to. It is nothing more than a huge gravel parking lot where your rv is right next to the ones on either side. They haven't even attempted to make this a pleasant experience. You'd be far better off parking overnight a Walmart.

We are full timers who travel for work. We do not generally like to stay at a KOA because they are overly priced for our needs. This one is no different in being over priced but what is different is the quality. We spent our first week up front where most of the Rvers are either vacationing or just passing... More

Where do we start? We have enjoyed of the KOA experience. We like them in general until we found this one. 1. We called up to reserve, and they put us on hold due another customer's call. They forgot we were on the line. 2. We made it there and talked to the recepcionist, she didn't have a clue about... More

The young woman who was minding the store on the night we checked in was wonderful, but At 4 a.m. we were rudely awakened by bugs crawling all over us. We caught a few, and, being an infection control nurse, I identified them as bedbugs. We hauled everything we had brought into the kamping kabin down to the laundromat and... More

Nothing between your site and the neighboring site except rock and the sewer trap. Sites so close you can reach out and touch the RV next to you. So many sites just packed in on top of each other. Rock, dust and construction noise. All yours for $39.00 a night. Horrible RV Park. How KOA lets them use their name?
