Wish we would have spent more time here! This was quite an amazing place. I am not entirely certain how to define this oasis... We stayed in the Tree House Suite. They had an amazing bathroom with a jet tub, the coolest heater/display of fire burning, super comfortable bed and a gorgeous garden. The prices are quite comparable, but your... More

We stayed in the Garden Room for one night. It was an ideal overnight stop between Volcanoes National Park and Hilo, since we were staying on the west side of the Island the rest of our stay on this island. We were lucky to get the room even though we called the same day. The Garden Room was exceptionally clean... More

Volcano, HI was the last stop for our week long Hawaii vacation. The Inn at Volcano was the PERFECT ending to a perfect vacation! We had the pleasure of staying one night in the Garden Room, which turned out to be an unforgettable stay. The girl at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly, the room was exceptionally clean,... More

We stayed in the treehouse suite over Thanksgiving week, and it was a tropical paradise. The gardens and pond were just beautiful - especially the gorgeous Trumpet Flower bush with huge blossoms that provided a lovely canopy and heavenly scent. The suite was private and very romantic with a rainforest patio and jacuzzi for two. We woke to the sound... More

We stayed in the Jade room and were disappointed with the size- it is very small and the photos sure don't show that. As well, the jacuzzi did not work and the bed was hard. Croaking bull frogs don't, help the sleep either. Staff was very unhelpful and there is no one on site after 5 PM so if you... More

We stayed in the Hapu'u Forest Bungalow and although pretty it had a few problems. The hot water only lasted about 10 minutes before going cold and the jets in the tub had dead insects in them. We only used the tub once and it would have been nice to have a clean one for our stay. The place was... More

I arrived during a driving rainstorm (it is in the midst of a beautiful rainforest, after all) and check-in was succinct. That worked for me since I just wanted to drive a few blocks to my house/room to dry off, warm up, add extra layers and get back to the volcano. I stayed in the Lokelani room and it was... More

I've only stayed at one other B & B and this was very different! Each room has it's own bathroom and small kitchenette type of space. You also have to pay $6 for breakfast, if you decide to eat there. The inn is very close to Volcano National Park and the property, though small, is wonderful to just hang out... More

So its cooler on the Big Island in December-no big deal if you have a little heat. Stayed in the Treehouse suite. It was beautiful but we shivered in the big tub because there was no heat in the huge all tile bathroom, the bed was uncomfortable & the pillows HARD as LAVA ROCKS! Please buy some new ones. The... We would not stay here again, nor would we recommend it to anyone. The staff was unfriendly. It appears that no one who works there is on sight during the off hours. We stayed in the Africa Room. It is very small and the layout was awkward. My husband and I had to climb over and walk around each other... More
