We booked Hale Waikoloa for 2 nights as we didn't want to do the drive to Hana and back in one day with all 3 of our kids. That was definitely the right call as our infant found the drive there to be too long and we barely got time to do everything we wanted to in, around, and near... More

Great location by Hana bay, but the studio we stayed in, at the back of the garage, only had frosted louvre windows so no views. Everything was painted in a dull brown colour so that did nothing to enhance the room. Only one B because no breakfast was provided.

When we were planning our latest trip to Maui, we really wanted to stay in Hana for a few days to experience the area a little more. We were shopping around, and didn't want to pay the Travaasa prices (regret that a little now). We decided on staying for three days. We weren't originally planning on staying in the room... More

First of all I want to say thank you for your thoughts about staying at Hale Waikoloa. I am so sorry to hear that your wife had the flu during your stay. We always appreciate candid input from our guests and we are continually striving to upgrade our facilities. Just prior to you staying at our property we installed a... More

We stay at 2nd floor one bedroom unit. It's awesome! Quite a large unit with so many cute furniture. Nice bedroom/bathroom/kitchen/dining area/living room.... you name it! Have view for the beach around. Great black sand beach. We have a really nice sleep. The sounds of beach wave and birds made it a wonderful environment falling into sleep. For staying in... More

At first I booked a place much more affordable. Only after finding the reviews of it on TA (stupid- forgot to check first), did I panic and cancel that asap! So I was a bit worried about booking this place after reading the reviews. Even though it was a bit beyond my budget (everything is Hana is a bit or... More

My 13yr old and I spent 2 weeks on Maui. We planned a day trip to Hana and decided to sleepover. I found Hale Waikoloa online and booked the efficiency apartment through Rebecca at the last minute. She was super helpful! The house is beautiful! We stayed in the smallest unit, which was perfect for us, but is small. I... More

Hana is to Kihei as New York state is to Alabama. We loved seeing the "real" Hawaii. Although it was comfortable as far as the sheets, towels and furniture were concerned, the house needs some TLC. Handles were missing from the bedroom louvered glass windows, screens had holes. I must say during the night the wind and rain were not... More

First of all we want to say thank you for staying at our property. Our upstairs unit (Hale Waikoloa 3) has recently gone through a number of major upgrades. The carpet was replaced by new vinyl flooring that looks just like hardwood. The bathroom has been upgraded with tile flooring, a new sink and counter, and a new toilet –... More

We are here now for 2 nights in the studio. The location is the best, but if I did it again I would pay the difference to be in one of the front units, as the studio is really just a place with a bed and the basics, built in the back(garage), so you have no views from this room.... More

The studio (Hale Waikoloa 1) went through a major renovation in April 2012. A new queen size mattress has been installed. The carpet has been replaced with new tile throughout the entire unit. The shower stall has been replaced with all new tile, new shower floor, and new shower hardware. The toilet is new. The entire studio has been repainted.... More

We've rented here twice and love it. It is on the bay and the views are simply spectacular. We live in Hawaii and when we choose a Hawaii accommodation, we have pretty high standards for paradise: unobstructed views, no other sounds but the ocean. Yes, it is a simple place; its on the ocean! It will feel a bit salty.... More

This is our 2nd trip to Hana, the first with Hana Maui Travel. Duke arranged our stay in the 2 bedroom portion of this historic home. The beach was so close that the waves lulled us to sleep on a night that we all expected to be awake from our excitement. The place is well laid out and has a... More
