This place is OK, but quite a disappointment considering the price. The yard and pool are heavily overgrown, and the pool is cold with no sun getting to it. The room was dingy by day and noisy by night with other people's AC units clanking and banging, cutting in and out. We had the largest room, with the King and... More

This lpace isl ocated in Kailua (East side of Oahu). The owner has 3 rooms available. Try to get the biggest one (it has a queen and king, even though you will only use the king). It is a nice size room, you can use the queen bed to storre/sort your stuff. It has an ice bathroom with big closet... More

We stayed here with our 1-year old baby and it was ideal. Kailua the town is only half an hour drive from Waikiki but is a different world - very relaxed and much fewer people. The beach is perfect for kids (we drove around the island one day to find another beach for the day, but they were all closed... More

Pillows in Paradise was an excellent value...much cheaper than other places we checked and turned out to be so peaceful, clean, and a great location, close to the beach and the town. The owners, Barbara and Lionel, were available most of the time if anything came up, but not in our faces. The place was so quiet, we had the... More

We travel a lot and frequently stay at B&Bs because they are usually charming and offer wonderful insights into the community. We were very disappointed with Pillows in Paradise. It was more like rent a room/daily rates than a Bed and Breakfast. We were booked for three nights and left after two. While our Lanikai room was clean and spacious,... More

We stayed Feb. 20-27 in the Gardenia room, a quick decision due to our son's housing situation. Bed was very comfortable, room was spotless and this location very quiet. Convenience is wonderful! 5 minutes to downtown Kailua, where you'll find many upscale restaurants and shops. Kailua Beach park is also just a 4 minute walk. Pool is immaculate and grounds... More

Pillows in Paradise is a quaint, clean and private B&B in Kailua, which is a town that's pretty off the beaten track. If you're looking for a place to relax, read a few books, get some sun and enjoy your alone time, this would be a place to stay for sure. The host, Barbara, was a really easy going lady... More

My grown son and I stayed here for 8 days in September of 2005. I grew up in Kailua and had not been back for 20 years. I was really looking forward to my first visit home since graduating high school. One of the reasons I booked this room was because of the queen and full beds in the Lanikai... More

My wife and I returned from 8 days in Oahu. We stayed 3 nights at Pillows in Paradise. We wanted to avoid the craziness of Waikiki but still stay near the SouthEast end of the island. Kailua is a great location if you want to stay away from Waikiki. It was much quieter and the beaches on the Windward coast... More

It was a traveler's worst nightmare. Booked with Barbara, the owner - I had a confirmation number & she had my credit card number. Arrived at the Honolulu airport late at night on a business trip & called Barbara to let know I was on my way. Cause of my late arrival, she had wanted me to call ahead. But... More
