We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay at the Graycote Inn. Warm apple cider in the afternoon, tasty blueberry pancakes in the morning, and a small blaze in the fireplace made for a cozy visit. Recommended.

We spent a lovely Friday, Saturday night here. The house is lovely and beautifully decorated. The owners are very helpful with local advice but not one's to stop and chat too much. The breakfasts were pleasant but not outstanding. The location is excellent - a short walk to the main street. Wifi is available throughout the house. However i would... More

We decided to do a little President's Weekend trip, as Maine in February is so dreary. So we decided to drive to Bar Harbor for an overnight. This was actually our third trip to the Graycote Inn, since 2008. They normally require two nights over a holiday weekend, but they had one night in between reservations that we could use!... More

We have cottages on the western side of Mount Desert Island and wanted to check on them during the winter and also enjoy snowshoeing in the park. The Graycote Inn, which is open all year, was a terrific place to stay. Our hosts had thought of everything - hot mulled cider and cookies in the afternoon, delicious breakfasts with lots... More

The Graycote is all, and more, one could ask for. We spent two nights there to get away a bit after Christmas. We had reservations, however a snowstorm got in the way and the Innkeepers were able and willing to move us one night forward. Our room was lovely, the working fireplace a real treat, and breakfast was top notch.... More

The week of Labor Day, 2012, was our fith or sixth time spending a week at the Graycote Inn! My husband and I love it. Roger and Pat are down-to-earth and gentle, which I so appreciate when I am on vacation and recovering from the work-a-day world. I love the porch, the yard, our room and the wallpaper in it,... We have stayed at the Graycote twice, on both occasions for our anniversary in the fall, once for 6 days, and the other for 8 days. It's the nicest inne in Bar Harbor as it is surrounded by trees and tucked away, yet so close to everything. Roger and Pat have thought of every detail and took very good care... More

My husband and I stayed at the Graycote Inn on the last weekend in October, 2012, unseasonably sunny and mild. The Inn is beautiful, beautifully kept, in walking distance of everything in Bar Harbor, a short drive to Acadia National Park. The innkeepers, Roger and Pat Samuel, are so gracious and so intelligent that it felt like spending a weekend... More

Roger & Pat are superb hosts! They provided us with a wealth of knowledge about the surrounding areas & events. They guided us to great dining... especially fabulous ice cream! And speaking of food, did I mention that they prepare a very nice breakfast themselves! I must also mention that they fed us local foods & they recycle... you have... More

We stayed at the Graycote Inn back in September. My mom and sister had stayed there 10 years ago. It's a beautiful little B&B. The breakfasts that were offered were very unique and yummy. Our room was cozy and comfortable. The inn is located very close to Acadia National Park which was very helpful for us because we wanted to... More
