My husband, son, and I stayed at the Nob Hill Inn last week. It's a lovely old building in a district replete with old Victorians. To open the door to the building is to step back in time. The living room is inviting and lovely, decorated consistently and beautifully in the Art Nouveau style, as are the rooms. There is... More

The room was great, beautiful antique furniture. Amazing claw-foot tub. Ours had a fireplace but updated enough to have a flat screen, They offer a breakfast (snack) fruit was fresh and a cozy B & B feeling. Evening they serve Tea and Sherry with cookies, cute nice touch. Elevator looked very old but the staff and no information about it.... More

We stayed at the Inn with an RCI timeshare exchange and weren't sure what to expect. We loved it!! Wouldn't have wanted to stay anywhere else. Very close to the cable cars and public transportaion (highly recommend getting a week Muni pass). Our room was beautiful with all the space and annemities we could possibly need. The staff was beyond... More

The Nob Hill Inn offers economically priced rooms for central San Francisco which can be an expensive city to visit. The Inn is also conveniently located to both the city and Embarcadero by the Powell or California Street cable cars. Rooms are well appointed with Victorian style furniture which is comfortable and homely feeling. Bathrooms also feature Victorian baths and... More

Second stay in this hotel in 2 years and I have to say the standard is still good. The hotel is very well located for all the cable car lines which make it easy to get about from. Very good value for money given the price of other similarly located hotels.

We found this beautiful inn by accident while looking for a vacation using our timeshare. Knowing nothing about San Francisco, I looked at the reviews and decided it looked pretty good for a standard size room (we're used to a 1 or 2 bedroom condo). Let me say that this is by far, my favorite place I have stayed in... More

I have been staying here for over 30 years the Nob Hill Inn is an old Victorian Mansion that they say was one of Sally Stanford's places where she and her girls would entertain San francisco's Elete in other words a High Class House of illrepute if the walls could talk There are many different rooms to chose from they... Have stayed at many hotels in San Francisco and really enjoyed the Inn. My daughter in law and I had a one bedroom suite with a living room pull out sofa that she said was very comfortable. We were there a week and got week long passes on the MUNI. One block to the California cable car and two blocks... More

On arriving at the hotel we were jokingly (I presumed jokingly) told that all our suitcases wouldn't fit into the room. They barely did, the room was like a box room with the bed jammed up against the wall and a 'slit' of a window that let in the light which percolated down between the hotel wall and an adjacent...
