We spent a week here in mid-May. This is an older hotel, filled with many assorted antiques, oddities, and oldish furniture. We were greeted on the fourth floor by a church pulpit! We enjoyed the old world San Francisco charm of this property. Most of the guests were "over forty", like ourselves, or were from foreign countries. Not a destination... More

We had a wonderful Four Day visit to San Francisco, based from the Delightful Queen Anne Hotel. It was a Girls' Finishing School during the time when buildings were vibrant, alive with color, and every gaze, inside and outside, was rewarded with splendor and interesting design. A beautiful Bay Window, old world furnishings, and the warm glow of a true... More

We were asked by one of the other guests why we chose to stay here as it isn't really close to the traditional tourist attractions but as we are quite happy to walk a little way (only about 10 down to Union Square - bit longer coming back uphill!) or make use of the public transport it was fine. My... More

I have been there in Jan 2011. Located in Pacific Heights in a quiet street, the Queen Anne has a good value. The building is really nice and the price is reasonable. Rooms and breakfast ok. Cheap parking just accross the street. Easy to catch a bus to other places. Good restaurants nearby. More

We had a very nice stay in this hotel, The service was okay .. room was good and comfortable,, The furnitures were old but well-kept and clean..The breakfast was mediocre - some bagels, muffins, eggs, sausages.Coffee was available all day in reception. We absolutely loved the downstairs sitting areas and the afternoon tea & cookies..Only downfall was that it wasn't real... More

The hotel was cute and close to Japan town. We like walking, so didn't mind that it wasn't in Union square. The room was clean (except for the carpet) and the bed was soft. The room appeared to be half remodeled. We didn't get a great room, it was next to the adjacent building and the pigeons hanging out between... More

Much better and more interesting than all big networks of hotels with great price/quality. Location is really not bad, 5 minutes to Union Square etc. More

This hotel caught the eye of my husband and myself from the very beginning. We are not disappointed with our choice. The hotel is gorgeous. The furnishings, the paintings on the wall, the beautiful staircases and the stained glass-absolutely gorgeous! I was a little nervous initially as my husband called to ask a question and he was on hold for... More

Thank You JuniorGirl8, We're glad you enjoyed yourselves. I'm especially glad you noticed the stained glass that acts as a large skylight in our hollowed center. It's original art from 1890. It is true, our complimentary continental breakfast offers quite a lot more than the continental breakfasts elsewhere. However, we will be making changes there in the coming months! I... More

My husband and I loved our weekend getaway stay at the Queen Anne. We were welcomed warmly, given hassle-free parking across the street (I'd called ahead), and appreciated the bottle of wine that was part of our check-in. The parlor area is lavishly decorated and restored, with many a gas-lit fire, mahogany pieces, brocade drapes, etc. It certainly feels like... More

This 1890 Victorian hotel has charming and spacious rooms and very inviting lobby with two fireplaces and vintage furnishings. Just so Quaint! We had a late check in but still found adequate parking ($17 charge for parking) The woman that checked us in was very friendly as was the gentleman who took care of our check out the next morning....
