We found this place on Trip Advisor and could not have been more pleasantly surprised with this inn and its sister property, The White Swan. First of all, the location was perfect. Situated just outside of Union Square, the hotel is in a great spot for walking to many restaurants, bars, and shops. As well, the cable car is a... More

My fiance and I got married in San Francisco's City Hall and stayed in Petite Auberge for our wedding weekend. We also booked rooms here for both of our parents. Everyone had an amazing time. The staff was so friendly, the location was fantastic, and so many pleasant details were included with our stay. A different delicious breakfast was served... More

Quaint alternative to a large hotel chain. I enjoyed my stay here and despite a few quirks, everything was lovely. Petit Auberge has many upsides: the staff is very friendly and genuinely seems to want you to enjoy your stay. The breakfast buffet is quite good, with alot of nice options. I especially enjoyed the San Fran sourdough bread and... More

I stayed here with my daughter, and we both loved the place. The breakfast is delicious. It is served in a cute little dining room with access to a small patio for outdoor dining. The evening wine and little snacks is another plus. More

Following good reviews on TA we chose this hotel and were very pleased. We had requested a back room and were given this on the top, 5th floor. Being in the city it was noisy on Saturday night but that was to be expected. The room was very comfortable, except the pillows but that was a problem everywhere we stayed... More

We spent 3 nights here with my daughter and her fiance. This is a charming old hotel in a great neighborhood. It's an old building and you will hear the floors creak as people walk around so if you're a light sleeper you'll probably want ear plugs. We slept with the windows open and the city wakes up around 4:30... More

My first impressions of the hotel were not great. The location is great, just a short stroll to the Union Square and Chinatown, however, when getting there the area seemed a bit grubby. We had to check in in the White Swan next door and it seemed complicated after 11 hr flight. The following day the area no longer was... More

My stay was 3/19/12-3/22/12. I could not wait to LEAVE. I felt the bed linens were dirty, so I slept with the spread off and the extra blanket covering me. There was little privacy. The building across the way is about 30 meters. So I could practically sit in the resident's apartment and watch his TV. Beware, Wednesday morning at... More

The staff is very accommodating as well as helpful - the service was excellent. Breakfast foods and drinks were plentiful and a step above what one usually is offered for complimentary breakfast. Close to Union square, Nob Hill and Chinatown. A good value if you are not looking for a high end cookie cutter hotel experience. Our fifth floor room... More

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. We love it! The elevator and the rooms are small, just like in Europe. The location on Bush Street is great. A buffet breakfast is included every morning....eggs, fresh fruit, wonderful fresh bread or baguettes ..... all served in a cozy little dining room. The perfect start to the... More
