We were looking for somewhere to stay in the city while picking up a family member arriving at SFO late at night. We considered staying near the airport, but when we came across this hotel, chose it partly because of it's proximity to the ocean and free parking. As other's have said, it's not fancy, but the room was spacious... More

This hotel has apparently everything to offer to the travellers like me who are not looking for a brand-new perfect hotel but something comfy and clean with a great location. This has everything I needed. Incredible spacious room, almost a suite, with a fireplace and a bistro table to prepare dinner. Free parking. So close to the sea that you... More

Phenomenal location - get the ocean facing rooms on the top floor and see the sunset over the Pacific from there. Across from Sutro Park and the shore-front (cliffs, parks, beaches etc). My room was comfortable (and large), clean, quiet & safe and the front desk staff (Seth and one other person) was very nice and helpful. Has ground floor... More

Our experience at the Seal Rock Inn was due to a family member being in the VA Hospital for three weeks. The Inn is five blocks from the hospital, bus service is across the street, and the park and ocean are within walking distance. The time spent within the beautiful surrondings was our respite. We found the rooms to be... More

Stayed here three nights after three nights at a downtown SF hotel. Quite the contrast. I would definitely recommend having a car if you stay here. There is a bus stop for the 38 Geary bus but that would require a long ride in and out of the downtown area. Hotel was great for ocean views, great walks along the... More

We stayed for two nights and had a wonderful experience. We were in room 105 and it had a view of Lincoln Park and ocean view. It is along the road, and there is a busy bus stop right outside the window, but it didn't add a lot of noise. Every way you turn as you leave the hotel there... More

We stayed here because my sister-in-law wanted us to be close to their neighborhood. What a mistake! We had to pay for 2 nights, as they do not accept reservations for a single night, even in the off season, on the weekends. We wanted to get a decent room as long as we were paying so much, and settled on... More

I love the Seal Rock Inn. The rooms are simple. This is not a luxury hotel. It's funky and really cool. I love the rooms with fireplace, two double beds and nice round table and chairs in front of a big picture window overlooking the Pacific. The ocean views are stunning. The little restaurant downstairs is a great little breakfast... More

The place is great. The staff very professional and friendly. Parking spaces are worth their weight in gold. 38 Geary bus is most convenient bus line in the City. Great breakfast and enormous rooms for the money. The front desk guy, Seth, is an LA Dodger fan and made all of us Southern Californians feel very welcome. Go Dodgers! More

Stayed while husband had surgery at VA hospital nearby. Needed peace and quiet and rest, and that's exactly what I got. The room was spotless, the staff was friendly and welcoming, the bed was wonderfully comfy; I slept like a rock. Everything was in good repair. Breakfast was quite tasty and the quantity was plenty in the restaurant. If you're... More
