We rode our bikes to the Jacob Rohrbach Inn from Washington, DC. After a long journey, we could not have picked a better place to stay. The inn keepers, Joanne and Paul, are knowledgeable, charming and kind. We were able to see all of Antietam and learn about the inn's own unique Civil War history. Not only did we sleep... More

We had a great stay at the JR Inn. It's a perfect base camp for visiting Antietam or Harper's Ferry, and the bikes available from the inn are a great way to see the sights. Service was wonderful and Joanne's breakfast delicious. We stayed in the Antietam room, and really liked the large room and its large porch. Would definitely... More

Our stay at The Jacob Rohrbach Inn was fantastic. We were greeted upon arrival and immediately welcomed. Our host gave us a tour of the house, showed us to our room, and presented us with a book filled with menus for restaurants in Sharpsburg and towns nearby. Our room was wonderful and breakfast the next morning was amazing. We had... More

Sharpsburg is worth a visit in and of itself, but the Antietam battlefield and the preserved open space there is a definite plus. The Jacob Rohrbach Inn is right on the main road, but there is not much traffic and our room was quiet and first class in every way. Our hosts were courteous and conversation with the.m was a... Our trip to Antietam was Fabulous! The autumn leaves were changing and this was the best time of year to go visit this piece of history. It was also close to Harper's Ferry so we visited there too. The John Rohrbach Inn was an excellent place to stay, because we had a lot to see and little time to visit... More

We stayed here for only 1 night but absolutely loved it! Joanne was very friendly and flexible as we had a unexpected late check-in. Breakfast was fantastic and plentiful. The lemon poppy coffee-cake was amazing as well as the french toast and coffee. More

We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay at this historic home after visiting Antietem. The acommodations were very comfortable, and we especially enjoyed having our own private porch to sit and reflect on what we had just seen. The beautifully ironed bed linens were an unexpected pleasure. There were a number of nice restaurant choices nearby, and Joanne prepared... More
