It's not the cheapest accommodation but it's the ONLY hotel accommodation. It is very typical national park lodge/motel type accommodation in a stupendous location. Other reviewers grype about the cost and quality but an up-market chain experience surely isn't why most people go either to Big Bend or the Chisos Mountains. You're also paying for the opportunity to be one... More

Had to move room as air conditioning blew in my face when in bed. Very basic room. Food in lodge is poor even for a national park. People were friendly and helpful. More

We stayed in one of their motel rooms ...very nice room but expensive. No phone or tv in room. Normally I would not complain about not having a phone in the room since I always have my cell with me, but in this case a phone in room would have been nice because the lodge is so remote your Verizon... Stayed in one of the two duplexes for 3 nights starting on Easter Sunday. My husband and I were there 6 years ago and stayed in one of the individual cottages. We were worried this time about being in a duplex with a neighbor with only one door between us. Our worries were for naught and our neighbors were just... More

We didn't expect luxury in a remote National Park lodging but we also didn't expect bed bugs! When I told management the first thing they did was to tell me my stay would be free. Appreciated but makes me think they weren't surprised by my report. It's a shame that our stay at such an idyllic spot was spoiled. More

I'll agree the reservations and some hidden fees are abit... More

We spent two nights staying in the Casa Grande Rooms, $123.00/night. The only lodgings within the park, we felt the rate was reasonable when compared to lodgings in or near other National Parks. The rooms were adequate, nothing fancy but clean and more spacious than we expected. The private balcony looking into the mountains an added bonus. There were no... More

Both ends of our stay were awful. First, it was impossible to change a reservation with the horrible website. At checkout, the bill was wrong, and the employees would not fix it. After a huge argument, I gave up. The room was okay, but hardly terrific. Food in the restaurant was mediocre and over-priced. The NPS rangers are biding their... More

This is the only hotel lodging inside the park. It has motel style rooms and cottages. The setting is spectacular and the rooms are good enough. The restaurant is adequate but not inspiring, although a cut above many national park restaurants. Support facilities are good, including self-serve laundry and an on-site convenience store. Reserve early as the lodge often is... More

This hotel is in a wonderful setting, high in the stark desert mountains of Big Bend. The motel-like units are easily accessed from parking spaces, and the restaurant, convenience store and gift shop quite adequate given the remote location,.Our room was of good size and had a good king-sized bed. But the drawbacks include: The bathroom was tiny, there was... More
