We only stayed one night but we wish we could have stayed longer. The views were fantastic. The entire place was immaculate and each camp site had a private outside area. There's a nice walking trail too. Would certainly recommend it. We stayed in our RV but this site requires you answer all questions. More

We pulled into Campfire Lodgings at 7pm on an August summer night to find the office closed. We had not called ahead to make reservations because we were driving about 8hrs from the Outer Banks and weren't sure we were going to make it to Asheville as planned. Because we were tent camping and all of the tent sites were... More

What a amazing campground !! Super Management and Very Helpful , Our site had a beautiful view central to everything in the Park. The Restrooms were super clean w/ abundant Hot water. which was great considering how cool it got during the nights in November. Can't wait to plan out next trip to Asheville.. Will be booking future reservations here... More

Beautiful campground but the rudest manager (she may be the owner?) we have ever met. We were going up the steep little road to the entrance when we were stopped by a woman in a Dodge Ram truck. She looked at me and said in a disgusted voice, "May I Help You?". Not knowing who in the heck this woman... More

This campsite D9 was very comfortable, beautiful and quiet. We did not have a bad experience with management and found the campsite host and hostess were friendly and helpful. We arrived after hours to a well organized packet explaining rules and regs and a map to the site. Thank you for a great camping experience and we will be back... More

This was my second stay at the camp site. Most times, the sequel doesnt live up to the original, however, this place does. The site is super clean, the views are spectacular. Andee and the staff are extremely helpful. I dont know what happened with the previous reviewer, however, Andee accomodates . Rv's arent stacked on top of each other,... More

We booked a 2-night weekend campsite. Several days before the trip, I called Ande to let her know that unfortunately something came up and we could only stay one night. I was aware of the two-night minimum, but asked if we would be able to get some of our money back since we weren't staying both nights. She said, "we... More

We stayed at Campfire Lodgings last week and could not believe the view and how clean/beautiful it was. We were in a travel trailer and not on the premium sites but our view was still fabulous. Matt was one of the best campground hosts we've ever met. He was extremely helpful, friendly, fun to talk with, and a hard worker... More

We stayed with a group of 6- 2 in premium RV spot - INCREDIBLE!!! Amazing view, cement patio, nice landscaping, unobstructed view of Blue Ridge Mtns. And French Broad River, full hookups, cute camp store. 4 of us were SORELY disappointed with Cliff House =( Save your hard-earned money. Website is accurate, but avoids the pitfalls - HORRIBLY MUSTY AND... More
