We just returned from a couples' getaway to the Richmond Hill Inn. I had some reservations about visiting this inn after reading some of the 2009-2010 reviews. However, please let me assure you, in 2011 this is a LOVELY place to stay. To understand the other negative reviews, here is some background on this hotel: The previous owner purchased this... More

My wife and I are long time fans of Richmond Hill. We were saddened by the fire and this Memorial Day weekend was our first visit in four years. It isn't what it was 10 years ago but has recovered enough to warrant another visit from those of you who have stayed away. The original owner is again in charge... More

As a Realtor and public speakor, i have the necessity and opportunity to stay in hotels and inns on a fairly frequent basis. I had to go to Asheville about a week ago on business. I decided to make it a long weekend, and my wife came along. The Richmond Hill Inn was recommended to us from an Asheville colleague,... More

Clean, comfortable, beautiful gardens! Wish we could have stayed longer. There was a gas fireplace and a small patio that was accessible through another door in the room. This faced the gardens and water fountain. Only complaint was the air conditioner in the Mt Pishgah room didn't seem to work but it was cool enough outside and were able to... More

My wife and I stayed at the Richmond Hill Inn from April 28 - May 2, 2011, and I can say that our stay was world class. From the comfort of our accommodations, to the quality of the breakfasts and afternoon teas, our experience was everything we wanted. Robyn, our host, was most gracious and did everything she could to... More

The old unfavorable reviews are outdated and totally untrue. While the inn no longer has the elegance it once had before the mansion burned down, the tensing cotages and garden rooms make this a delightful small inn, really a bed and breakfast, that is thoroughly comfortable, nicely appointed and very relaxing. My wife and I recommend it without qualification. More

We just returned from a three night stay at the Richmond Hill Inn. This was by far the best B&B experience we have ever had! We celebrated a family birthday and had a wonderful stay. The rooms were spacious and well decorated. From the moment we arrived Robyn and her staff were most helpful and friendly. The pictures do not... More

I have used the Tripadvisor site for years to help evaluate potential hotel and dining options prior to booking tips. until this weekend, I have never felt strongly compelled to post a review of an establishment. My wife and I just returned home from a 3 night stay in one of the rooms in the Garden Pavillion building. On the... More

The original owners are back in charge and I think the hotel is about to make a positive turn for the better, but it is going to take a lot of work. The hotel is understaffed and I think they should close it until they can get it better staffed. Nobody should stay at the cabins, they should be closed,... More

In addition to the all the eeriness created by the story of the fire, the reality of the rubble and the filthiness of the bugs, there was one more issue that changed what once was a charming, quiet and stylish inn into the nightmare that was our stay - there was no one there! HISTORIC MANSION LOST IN FIRE, INN... More
