A spur of the moment road trip led my husband and I to Asheville and we lucked out when we found Oakland Cottage. The last-minute, online price was just right. Breakfast was very tasty and varied each morning and the staff could not have been more welcoming. Loved the robes in the rooms. The only drawback is that the Rose... More

After a day or two I felt like I lived here. The staff is incredible, I couldn't figure out who owned this B & B because each staff person behaved like it was their place and treated me like I was their personal guest. They were helpful and accommodating in every way. The breakfasts were terrific, each day something different... More

I chose Oakland Cottage, as many of the previous reviewers did, for price and convenient location, but I loved it so much I booked for an additional day halfway through my stay.  The inn has a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere.  Both  public and guest rooms were clean, open and decorated  with comfortable  period furnishings and accents that complimented the turn-of-the-century architecture... This is a charming older house, situated about halfway between Biltmore and downtown. My partner and I brought our 13 month old, and we were happy to find that the B&B is very child friendly. We needed to do only minimal babyproofing in the room, and the owners were very welcoming. We stayed in the Safari room, which is really... More

I spent one night in this inn at the Dogwood Suite. A plus is that I was able to get a very good deal since I happened to fill up a vacancy at a two days notice. Pat was very helpful at letting me know what to do around town. He provided me with options like the big festival Bell... More

Stayed in the Dogwood suite with its private porch and entrance. It was perfect for My husband and I with our little dog. Very Clean and comfortably cozy . We were only in town for one night on our trek from the Gatlinburg smoky Mountain to our visit to the Biltmore House. The cottage was very close to our destination... More

My boyfriend and I chose this spot primarily because it was the right price, looked nice, most reviews were good and it's only a mile from downtown. It surpassed all our expectation. We rolled in having trekked from Pa to Ga and then NC and were having a car issue. One of the hosts was as helpful as he could... More

spent two days at the cottage, comfortable, convenient and quiet. We were in the Dogwood suite, which has a private entrance and sitting area, wonderful. Jim and Pat provided a great buffet breakfast and a wealth of area knowledge. The cottage may not be in town, but it is at most a five minute drive to downtown or the Biltmore.... More

We opted for two day tix to Biltmore Estates which were cheaper through the B & B and a 5 mile drive from the cottage. The home is old and charming. We picked up our tix early and left for the gardens/estate and dinner before gladly spending the the remaining evening watching UNC easily win on the small tv in... More

My boyfriend and I wanted to visit Asheville for the weekend and I decided to stray away from the typical hotel stay for a change and opted for the very affordable Oakland Cottage B&B. The house was probably a 5min drive from downtown, it was clean, comfortable and charming. I was the most impressed by our hosts, they were kind,... More
