The structure itself is very old for a hotel, and that itself is a love-hate thing. Me, I loved it. You somewhat feel trasported to the 40's, and surely the hotel hasn't changed that much since. That includes tiny bathrooms, quick and excellent room service, iffy (if modern) climatizing and no much noise suppression. The guide in the room does... More

It was graduation weekend in Boston and the Park Plaza offered a rate far lower than even the 3 star hotels in the area. We've stayed at the Park Plaza before and found it was adequate with a superb location. We found that it once again met our expectations. Don't expect world class service or recently renovated rooms. But you... More

No sound proof rooms. Hotel 6 is better. High priced breakfast $15 ?? It is close to everything (subway, etc.) Staff was friendly and helpful !!! Large chain resturants are close but not much local eats.

It's downtown Boston and you're paying less than $200...this is what you get if you want to be near the activity. I bought from Priceline. The room is tiny and the paint and moldings are 80 years old. Hallways are loud at night, and A/C is clunky, but it's convenient and (relatively) inexpensive.

Boston Park Plaza is not your hotel if you want free Wi-Fi, a new bathroom, and a Belgian waffle for breakfast. This is one of the Grand Dames of Boston, with an enormous, elaborate lobby, comfortable rooms, and bright corridors. The staff are friendly and do their jobs well. The building shows its age with grace. The location is hard... More

Hotel rooms are very old and tiny. My first room was ridiculously small, there was no space to move around. Bath was tiny, it can't even be described. If I have time, I will upload the pictures I took with my phone. Room was also near the elevators and it is not possible to sleep due to noise. My room... More

I often stay in Boston, usually at the Sheraton or Westin which are also same class hotels in the area. The park plaza is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in this city. The rooms are ridiculously tiny, even after paying for an upgrade. They advertise the premium rooms at 300 sq feet, but it's more like 200 sq... More

This hotel is one of the oldest in Boston. It is pricey but the location and service are top notch. The lobby is very classy and elegant. Now, the rooms are European style which means you aren't going to get a big sprawling room, rather quaint and elegant. The hotel is very romantic and definitely great for couples.

The Park Plaza front desk staff need to work on their customer service. The noise level in the hotel is a major disappointment. There is no compensation for the guest when ones neighbors are partying until the wee hours of the night. Also the fact that the fire alarm clearance was announced five times around 2:30am is rather disturbing since... More

This very large hotel (400 guests checked in the day we arrived) offers extremely small rooms and very modest service. Fore example, on Sunday I tried to use a computer in their business center and could not get any computer to work. I asked the bell boy who said "Oh yeah, the compuiters have been down since Saturday morning" I... More
