My daughter, son-in-law, and 8 month old grandson stayed at The Mandarin and I got the opportunity to see it first hand (and, anew, after a disasterious first time bar visit over a year ago - horrible mixed drinks). I viewed their room (plush, expansive, and positive in every respect). Their comment: was this: "hands down", the best in Boston... More

I had the pleasure of staying at this property on business. This is a truly beautiful hotel. The staff were polite and professional and the rooms were wonderful. The hotel has many new/high end amenities which made the experience even better. This hotel is also situated perfectly in the city near great restaurants and great shopping. I look forward to... I stayed in a deluxe king bed room on the Extra Day Away - One Free Night offer in mid- February. After a thorough search through tripadvisor, i chose the Mandarin for its luxury, comfort, and location. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the bathrooms are marble and lovely. There is a large shower, bath tub, and separate WC area.... More

My recent short stay at this property was a pleasure from A-Z — made special by the staff; their warm, professional welcomes and ease of communication without being stilted. Next time I look forward to enjoying the property for a longer visit, whilst making time for the amazing looking spa! Top-notch Boston stay — doesn't get better from what I... More

this hotel is pretty good, albeit ferociously pricey...my beef with it is that a) noone helped with my bags b) breakfast was included in the price but when I checked in, the lady at reception said it wasnt, so it was only when my PA told me it was a b+b deal that i had breakfast (ie once out of... This is really one of the best hotels in the world but one would expect no less from the Mandarin chain. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the staff attentive but not obsequious and the atmosphere charming. The bar is vibrant but can get very crowded and busy. My only criticism was the breakfast. There is no buffet so, if... More

Our room was nice, the spa relaxing and the location was excellent but what really makes this a 5-star hotel is the service. Everyone from housekeeping and room service to the front desk and concierge showed professionalism and a real desire to be helpful. The only drawback was that our bed was a little soft for my taste. First time in ages that I've stayed in a hotel where the service was truly faultless. lots of people remembering your name. Real smiles not plastic ones. Nice rooms. Great food and unlike many hotels not overpriced if anything it appeared under priced. Will stay again. More

My wife and I stayed in a spa floor room, with hardwood floors. Just fantastic. The service on all levels at this hotel is at the top of it's class. Perfect location on Newbury Street. Would recommend this place time and time again. More
