Our room (1110) was ideal. It was at the end of the hallway, flanked by the emergency stairs and a maid's closet. I do have just a couple complaints. There is no signage outside the hotel. And the door person did not introduce himself or acknowledge our arrival. Stunning building, amazing decor and first rate service are only part of the story. The Ames is also in a perfect location for downtown, theatres, the common, the harbour, Little Italy and Quincy Market. Boston is a stunning city and the Ames really is the jewel. Modern design rooms in the lifestyle boutique hotel. Love the look and feel. Got a room upgrade which is always a bonus. Booked it through Tablet Hotels. My only comment was rat breakfast was less than impressive. Nothing wrong or bad, just nothing to write home about, special or unique.

I was lucky enough to get a great rate through "Living Social" and this hotel had the best location for our Spring college tour.
