I'm currently a guest, the location and staff are great and the room is decent. But, I doubt I'd stay here or another Holiday Inn again. Corporate vendors have ruined the personal experience As they say the devil is in the details and despite global warming (fact, not opinion) they still don't open the pool until Memorial day. My g/f... More

Thank you for the kind words about my staff. I am sorry we are not the right hotel for you, but I am not going to apologize for being a Holiday Inn. I am proud to be part of a great branded system. The consistency that a branded business provides is valued by many people and is the main reason... More

I stayed here with my husband a week ago. The hotel is undergoing major renovations which made the lobby look extremely sloppy. They are redoing the restaurant and bar area, and it looks like it will be pretty cool when they're finished (they have Harpoon on tap!) but for now they are serving an extremely limited menu for breakfast and... I am sorry the renovation made your stay mediocre. The Lobby/Restaurant area renovation has been the most disruptive phase of the project. We've opened the Lobby and Restaurant areas into one open space. During the work, we have to leave areas open for city inspectors, and unfortunately, the city inspectors have been taking weeks instead of days to come inspect... More

I got out of my taxi having crossed the Atlantic to be greated with cement and builders rubble - got to reception and was given a room on the tenth floor ( no mention of an upgrade- inspite of holding a platinum Ambassador Card - the room was fine a bit dated - no fridge !! - but comfortable -... I'm sorry the renovation impacted you so severely. I wish you had shared your concerns with me while you were here for the two nights. You have made alot of assumptions due to your frustration that are simply misguided. We have had notices in the Holiday Inn System since November about our renovation activity and have adjusted them when we... More

Having recently stayed at the above hotel I would like to comment on the excellent customer service of all staff. Arrived after trans atlanic flight to be greeted by lovely staff who were extremely helpful. The buidling work continued during our stay (25th April - 3rd May) but other than the restuarant facility being restricted it did not in anyway... More

Renovations were going on when I was there. This diminished the quality of the stay, but hopefully things will be better soon. However, the rooms were well-kept and service was mostly good. No real flaws or problems here. I got charged for something I didn't use but they politely changed this when I lodged a complaint. Just get the building... More

I've stayed at this hotel twice in two years. Despite the fact that BOTH times the lobby and restaurant were under construction, this is the only place I would want to stay in Boston because of the great location in the Beacon Hill neighborhood. The Charles River biking/jogging trail is just 3 blocks away, and the rest of the Boston... More

Thanks for your review. I'm sorry about the timing of your visits and our Lobby renovation work - quite a coincidence. We are finishing up the renovation work and hope to have the new restaurant open in a few weeks. I hope you get a chance to come back soon and enjoy it. More

The warning I feel I must give... if you are sharing a room with people you are not VERY close to, the newly renovated rooms could cause some discomfort. I don't know if every room is like the one we were in, but the new bathroom door makes the bathroom anything but private. It's a slider instead of a traditional... More

Thank you for your review. I'm sorry the new bathroom doors made you feel uncomfortable. They were chosen to maximize space in the bathrooms. I am glad you could see the progress of the renovation during your stay. We are in the final stages and will be finished soon. More

We had a family member who had to go to Mass General for major surgery. Never having been to Boston we had no idea of where to where to stay that would be close to the hospital and affordable. Using Google to search we found the Holiday in at Beacon Hill to be one of the closest and most affordable... More

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay at this Holiday Inn. We booked the room on Hotwire, so were unsure what we were getting. But the rate was good, so we went for it. As luck would have it, this hotel was located very near where we were going for the evening. We were running late, so were extremely grateful... More

When the reservations were made there was NO mention of the Lobby being under construction with dust all over and wires hanging from the exposed ceiling. I checked in at 9pm and the construction and construction tape was up until at least Midnite. One maybe 2 elevators working. Staff was friendly but just smiled and made believe nothing was happenning.... More

I am sorry the renovation was so disruptive for you. We did have notices throughout the Holiday Inn systems and did also notify our internet partners. I am not sure why you did not get notified when you made your reservation, but understand how frustrating the experience must have been. The Lobby area renovation has been the most disruptive phase... More
