My first experience staying in a hostel and it was great. Curtains on the beds, free internet, free linen and many organised events every night of the week. I was speaking to my room mates who have travelled around the globe and they said the it was one of the best that they've ever stayed at. Very close to the... More

Very friendly staff ; free breakfast every morning with plenty to eat. Great location, right next to the beach. Nice rooms, cozy-looking. Comfortable beds. Very animated area. Plenty of stuff to do Definitely recommend it, great value (paid 20 bucks a night) More

Ok where to start with this review!! Stayed here last March/April for about 3 weeks. This establishment costs about 20 dollars a night. In my opinion people either leave this place and have loved it or have very negative feedback, its a difficuly one to review. Ok the staff here are people who all live at the hostel and are not very... More

I just got back from San Diego, we chose this hostel because it is so close to the beach. We planned for 3 nights but ended up staying 5! My favorite things about this hostel were the amazing free breakfast (pancakes, eggs, fruit, oatmeal)) and the staff. They were very helpful with all our questions and gave us great advice... More

First of all, you have to be realistic with your expectations that you are staying at a cheap hostel. However, I have stayed at many hostels around the world, and this was one of worst. First some positives 1. Free full breakfast in the morning with pancakes, eggs and coffee 2. Free dinners (occasionally), I had a free spaghetti dinner... More

Stayed here for three nights. The couple who run the hostel were warm and welcoming, helped us out with our travel plans etc. Small room, but it was cleaned every day, so no complaints. Best thing about this hostel is the location (beach is literally at the end of the street) and then the amazing FREE breakfast. They also put... More

My partner and i stayed here recently and both thought it was exceptional! I have never stayed at a hostel before so i was a little weary about the whole 'hostel' experience but I'm glad to say i loved every minute staying here. The staff where very friendly and extremely helpful with all our questions about traveling to other destinations... More

Staff is awesome except one, Teressa. She will make you feel like a bum trying to check in at the Ritz with $20. We watched her speak down at guests, roll her eyes when asked questions and really upset this New Zealand gal over a late check out. She can ruin your whole stay. More

The best Hostel you can go to in San Diego! Tons of other young travelers you can meet, comfy beds, cheap surfboard rentals, 2 min away from the beach! Great place to be, definitly coming back. The staff is great and they also love to party. Carly and Jason are the best, and they always go that extra mile for... More

I can see how this hostel would be great if you're young and want to party or hang out at the beach. This isn't what I'm looking for and I would have appreciated an edible free breakfast as opposed to half-cooked pancakes cooked by a volunteer who could not care less. The receptionist was great and professional. She really helped... More
