We weren't really looking to stay in Old Town, but instead we chose this place because of it's proximity to Public Transit as well as it's uniqueness. The Old Town transit station is definitely one of the best places to be near if you want to visit San Diego without a car, as it gives you direct access to the... More

Wonderful owners and staff ..they hosted our wedding at the hotel. They all did a fantastic job and we had THE most fantastic day thanks in large part to them. Everythign from the room , the setup in the courtyard , the food /drinks , service. They couldnt have done more for us. Thoroughly recommended!.

My husband and I stayed one night here. We stayed during the week. Everyone on the staff that we had spoken with was always very helpful and did much more to make our stay more special! We did call to make sure we knew where to park. The room was so nice, really had you thinking you actually went through... More

What a wonderful stay. Located in the old Casa de Bandini. Rooms are fabulous and all done in period. We had a wooden bathtub in our room which was so luxurious to bathe in. A delicious breakfast on the porch outside our room with a fabulous homemade orange marmalade. The restaurant is delicious and you are in the heart of... More

We booked this hotel in desperations after our previous hotel was a disaster and having eaten here - the food was excellent and the atmosphere was good. The room didn't quite live up to expectations - the bed was so noisy that the slightest movement of one would cause the other to wake. Additionally, being so close to the railway... More

My wife and i stayed here with another couple and we absolutely loved it. The overall experience is amazing, the feel of the hotel is spot on with the times. The bar inside and outside in the courtyard is so much fun and serves the most amazing drinks. We went on the Ghost Tours that is put on during Halloween... More

We were in San Diego Old Town and went to the Cosmopolitan for Sunday brunch but not before going on a walking ghost tour first. Not very ghostly but hugely entertaining, thanks to Miguel the owner who relates the history of the place excellently. Would love to stay there, the rooms looked lovely. Brunch afterwards in the courtyard was delicious.... More

The renovated Cosmopolitan hotel is amazing. The rooms have high ceilings, beautiful antique furniture, very comfortable beds, and spacious tiled bathrooms featuring pull-chain toilets and wonderful showers that drench you with water. And it's also worth noting that they use soft egyptian cotton towels, which really does make a difference. In the morning, freshly made scones and coffee/juice are delivered... More

My wife an I spent our 30th anniversary on June 23rd. Just a 10 room B&B. An original home of a early 1800's immigrant to The town of San Diego. See their website for a thorough story. Nice comfy queen bed and good pillows Continental breakfast outside your room on the balcony overlooking Old Town. Dinner was a sold 8... More

The Cosmopolitan's restoration to its previous glory is an elegant and charming place to stay! We loved staying within the historic park. As all the other reviewers said, you can either eat in the hotel restaurant or take a short walk to others. At night we sat on the balcony overlooking the courtyard, listening to the music down below. We... More
