The location for the Hilton in Gaslamp Quarter for anyone attending a conference at convention center is ideal!! It's less than a 5 minute walk..no taxi needed. I am a basic HiltonHonors member(lowest level), and I was pleased to learn upon check-in that I was upgraded to a suite. My stay was for 3 nights and it was nice to... More

Trains run ALL NIGHT immediately adjacent to the hotel. These later trains are often freight, making noise like a war zone -- loud bangs, squealing brakes, and crossing bells. The bells literally went for hours on end. There is nothing the hotel could do but tear down and move to make this place inhabitable. Not a bad property otherwise, but... More

Thank you for staying with us and taking the time to post a review of the hotel. Our dynamic location in the Gaslamp district along with several other hotels in the area are adjacent to local transportation hubs and I'm sorry the train noise kept you awake. The city of San Diego has approved a "quiet zone" act where safety... More

Pros: Location, Friendly concierge, comfortable room. Cons: parking cost. thin walls and poor security. I was down in San Diego for the weekend and booked the Hilton Gaslamp through Hotwire. Decent price and the room was ok. I understand this is a party atmosphere part of town, but the hotel party in the room adjacent to ours, kept my girlfriend... More

Am a current guest at the hotel, it is a cute boutique Hilton. PROS: Location - One of the best in San Diego, close to everything downtown San Diego has to offer. Rooms - Small but nice Staff - Friendly - Steve at NewLeaf for Breakfast is great. Valet Parking - Very quick at retrieving car CONS: Internet - Only... More

This is a nice hotel in an excellent location just across from the convention center. The room was comfortable, the food surprisingly good, and the staff professional. A couple of complaints: The business center is monetized so that you can't really use it without paying for the service, although it's a nominal fee (just a headache). The business center is... More

Great location near the convention center, very nice Loft rooms, but check the Hard Rock hotel website before you book. At $500 a night I didn't expect to be driven from my room by the eardrum rattling (literally) pool party across the street. Fun for some, but not when you're trying to get work done. Or rest. More

The Hilton Gaslamp is a nice alternative to the mega-hotels along the main drag (Hyatt, Marriott and the new Hilton on the bay). You're within an easy walk to the San Diego Convention Center, the entrance to the Gaslamp district, and Petco Park. We stayed on the 7th floor, facing the Convention Center and railroad tracks. I had read the... More

Let's dispense with the good things right away: location is very convenient, steps away from numerous restaurants, shops, 4 blocks away from a big mall, the neighborhood is very lively at night. There are two buildings - the main one and The Lofts on 5th Ave - which has much bigger upgraded rooms. There is a restaurant on the premises... More

I have been coming to this hotel for years and have always enjoyed my stay. I can't add anymore to what everyone else has said about the location it is perfect. We take the train down and trolley it over to the hotel within 5 minutes of arriving. The location is perfect. We checked into a loft room which we... More

Stayed for 4 nights with family and also attended a conference across the street at the Convention center. The location is great, walking distance to anything in Gaslamp district, Horton Plaza, etc. What sets this hotel apart from the rest in the vicinity (Marriott, another Hilton, Hard Rock, Hyatt) is the size (quite a bit smaller, with a cozy modern...
