We spent two nights here while visiting Capital Reef in Oct 2011. We found the room clean and quiet. The inn is located up a hill above the road so there is minimal traffic noise. The staff was friendly and helpful. The price was quite reasonable for what we got. The restaurant was also good. One couldn't ask for much... More

I made my way to Torrey from Bryce Canyon on Highway 12 (an amazing drive) and ended up at the Sandstone Inn for the night. Had a first floor room which was clean, but minimal, and quiet through the night. Bedding, towels, carpet were clean and in good shape. Breakfast at the restuarant was very good, and the coffee was... More

Mixed review: stayed here two nights in two different rooms. We had no reservations and found most everything else booked. The first night we had the handicapped room on the first floor next to the office. It was a little worse for wear: thin sheets, frayed armchair, with an odd furniture configuration. Had planned to visit Capitol Reef and then... More

Hotel was clean, quiet, close to Capitol Reef, and price was average for going rates in the area. It was close to three gas stations and had a restaurant attached that served breakfast all day. More

Reserved 2 nights at Sandstone Inn prior to visiting Capitol Reef National Park. Location offers beautiful views of the red hills, but we were very disappointed to discover that advertised "balcony" was nothing more than an exterior hallway which runs the length of building. There was no seating area on balcony! We could place a chair in front of our... More

Good sized, clean rooms with a very comfortable bed and lovely views all around outside. Plenty of parking space. The towels were rather small and tatty. Nice swimming pool and hot tub after a long days walk. Very convenient having a restaurant on site. The ribs were excellent. More

This Hotel was the second best part of the trip. The picturesque scenery was the best thing. The hotel was clean, the food awesome, and the people so caring. It feels like home away from home. A good meal and a hot bath are always good after a long day of touring. The beds were wonderful, the rooms clean and... More

Stayed here one night with 2 girlfriends on our way to Green River. We found it to be clean and quiet and conveniently located on the main hwy junction. Beds were comfy. While they provide free coffee for guests, it is rather weak, as seems to be the case throughout many smaller Utah towns. Otherwise, nice place to rest and... More

Hotel rooms were nice and clean. The cafe was pretty good. Prime Rib on Friday was really good. No free breakfast, but I would rather sit down and be served. Keep in mind, Torrie is out in the middle of nowhere. More

While eating dinner at the Sandstone Restaurant (decent food, affordable, and the only salad bar in town) we asked about and small, new separate building outside the restaurant and hotel. It's an actual bar; the only one in the entire county (that I know of). It's called the Red Cliff Bar. With four tables inside and a large, glassed-in patio... More
