I have stayed here multiple times over many years. We never "loved" this property but enjoyed the outdoor space and the end rooms, nine and ten, which are larger. The rate is cheap. Our dog loved it. But the place isn't in good repair. I am not sure if they ever wash the comforters on the beds...this last time they... More

Had an excellent breakfast on 4/20/13. Omelette was terrific, bacon good, and very good coffee. Things are cooked to order so be patient. Would definitely return to the cafe. We were in an RV so did not stay here.

Don't be fooled by the well-worn exterior. This little café serves basic, tasty meals. It's not gourmet cuisine but it's one of the better among few choices in the area. Our salads were indeed super fresh; the main dishes good as well. My wife claims the pie she had for dessert was among the best she's ever had from a... More

My husband and I don't require a fancy hotel when we travel. We have a modest income and just want something affordable, clean and quiet. Capitol Reef Inn fit the bill. Not only was our affordable, clean and quiet, but it was spacious and the room cute. If you are looking for a place to stay near the park, stay... More

Stayed her for 1 night on September. Pulled up and wanted to leave, but the cancelation policy says you have to call by 1pm. Horrible customer service. Arrived at 3pm and had to wait 10 minutes to be greeted as the check in girl is also the only server in the restaurant. Other guests arrived to check in and she... More

Despite their hype about fresh, locally produced ingredients, I found the food here totally mediocre. Lemon chicken looked lke it had come straight out of the freezer with a slice of lemon tossed onto the plate to justify its description on the menu. Lazy, lazy cheffing. Same with the stir fried vegetable concoction. Would suit only those following the BARF... More

My wife and I spent two nights at the inn and ate four meals in the cafe. The motel room was large and comfortable, and met our expectations considering the price we were paying. What exceeded our expectations was the food and service in the cafe. The menu had a nice variety and was quite reasonable. We can highly recommend... More

If you are traveling in this part of Utah en route to Capitol Reef or Route 12 towards Escalante for example, include the Capitol Reef Inn and Cafe in your plans. This is a place that heartens to the past when a pleasant room which is priced fairly and a meal that speaks of the region were more commonly found.... More

We enjoyed staying at this inn in Torrey in September 2012. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom was rather small with no place to put toiletries and the shower controls were a bit difficult to control. There wasn't a box of tissues in the room and the curtains were very thin so that the outside lighting shone... More

our second stay here so that speaks for itself. Spacious room with really comfortable beds. Air con and heating (it went cold at night early Sept). Nice rustic feel to the place and with a table to sit outside if it's warm. Just a shame the hot tub was really cold as we'd been looking forward to that after a... More
