We stayed here two nights on a visit to see Carlsbad Caverns and would recommend it if you can get a good rate. The pros: large room (we had a king), kitchenette (fridge, stove, sink, microwave), comfortable bed, nice TV, clean room, great breakfast. The cons: our room (in the 500 block) had very little light since the only window... More

we stayed overnight so we could have a full day at the caverns. asked for non smoking, I literally went into asthma attack mode in my so called non smoking room that smelled like an old las vegas casino in the 60s. ok if your a smoker otherwise I would say, stay some place that is relatively new. this is... I am a seasoned traveler, a Best Western Diamond member. I have stayed in this Hotel several times. Each time not the best experience. I attempted to get an early check in at 12:30p. When I stood at the front counter I stood for quite a while and the front clerk was engrossed at the computer, finally she said can... More

Big thanks to josh, Kira, and Dylan who helped me tremendously. My wife was having a hard week and we could only afford one room, which we were going to share with a friend. We just needed some privacy and these guys helped us get into another room and saved our friend some money as well. We are greatful and... More

I was very pleased with the hotel for making sure to give us a room with a hide-a-bed. When I booked the room they said they were so full that they couldn't guarantee it (we needed a room to sleep 6), but they did it and I was very pleased. However, upon entering the room it had a very strong... More

I just had to write this. We paid $107/nite which was less than most of the hotels in this tourist trap town. We had a "newer" room. It was large and had a microwave and fridge. The motel was full but we didn't hear any noise--very quiet. The funniest thing was the quality of the toilet paper. It was absolutely... More

I could have gotten a good deal at a Hilton somewhere for what we paid at BW. However, all hotels/motels are pricey in Carlsbad due to tourism and a recent oil boom which has filled the hotels to near capacity. Hotel prices always fluctuate according to need, so expect priciness. Hampton was our first choice, and our 2nd and 3rd... More

We were there for one night on our way to visit Calrsbad caverns. We knew it would not be the greatest hotel and it met our exceptations... The rooms are big, the decor is so ugly, the furniture is worn out, I question the cleanliness of the sheets also... But the worst is the smell when we entered the room,... More

Friendly staff at check-in, lounge, restaurant and breakfast. We had a large room with a kitchenette. The room was very clean and comfortable but could use some updating. The lounge was very nice and clean. We probably wouldn't have gone there but the "flyer" (think it was on the "room location" sheet") from the front desk said there was a... More
