hum, MEGA pricey for an average room. Did love the bathrooms, very funky, bedroom was pretty bland and basic. VERY noisy madison av side, weirdly not on friday night but very much so saturday night beep beep of reversing rubbish trucks?? I know you are in NYC but it was noisier than less expensive hotels. the bikes are great fun... More

I had a 5 nights stay in this hotel in 2013 after a previous stay in 2010. I really do not understand what happened to this hotel! In 2010 it was a dream: immaculate and clean rooms, superlative service and very attentive staff, very high end guests...I came back this January and I could not believe to be at The... More

First time at this fabulous hotel, and we loved it. Traveling with my mom is not easy, as she is very particular about details. And what makes it so fabulous --- everything! Above all, it was the staff and their attention to the guests. No matter who you are, celebrity - or just regular folk like us, you are given... More

The only bad thing about The Mark is that once you have stayed there other hotels seem disappointing in comparison. The rooms are very well furnished and decorated to extremely high standards, the staff are helpful, the location is perfect for museums, shopping and Central Park and I and my family have frequently been upgraded which is always appreciated. Loved staying at this large boutique hotel in New York last summer. A very elegant hotel in a great area. Excellent restaurant and a really buzzy bar in the evening - met some really nice local people who use the bar as their local. Would be delighted to stay again the next time we're in NYC.

Most hotels are impersonal but staff training here is exemplary, and all the staff were astonishingly pleasant and genuine. Very close to Central Park and Manhattan Upper East side, so less frantic than downtown NYC. Be warned that if you want the adrenaline rush of Meatpackers or Soho you will not like the sophisticated elegant, quieter Madison Avenue up on... More

Service is fabulous. Quality of food is extremely good. The only setback for me is lack of choice for lunch/dinner bread. Only Italian?type of bread which is good but would appreciate a choice because I eat at the hotel at least once a day one way or the other (I do not eat breakfast, just coffee) Very fast room service with...
