Stayed here for 1 night in June 2012. Arrived from JFK by the airtrain and subway which is just round the corner from this hostel. Fare was about $2.50. Hostel room clean, was sharing a bunk room with 1 other female. No lockers in room, just 1 hanging rail. Towels, mirror and sink were provided in the room. Breakfast in... More

Well located for Central Park, not so for anything else. Very little atmosphere. We stayed in a two bed dorm which consisted of a bunk bed, this was fine. The only problem I had were that the bathrooms and showers were at the other end of the floor, I ended up just using the mens facilities. We only stayed here... More

The place is not so terrible. The staff is not Specially cool and I had to pay 25% more that the price of my reservation. The breakfast is weird : water-coffee and dry muffins on a cold basement. Try somwhere else...

This was the first hostel I had ever stayed at back in march 2013 - I've learnt alot since then. My main problem with the hostel is the rooms and the lack of air flow. It was still snowing in march but the room constantly felt like a sauna. There is no kitchen use available and the shower facilities are... More

I was in this hostel in February. Everything seemed to be okay except one situation with reception. My flight to NYC was cancelled. Therefore I wrote e-mail to re-book my stay for next nights. When I arrived, it appeared that they have not received my e-mail. They cancelled my reservation. I am sure that I had proper e-mail address( I... More

I am a young world traveller and I am used to stay in hostels. I've stayed in many third and first world hostels and Jazz on the park is by far the worst. The rooms are clean every day but somehow they seem unclean. The restrooms are few and they have leaks. I stayed for 14 days and the leaks... More

i stayed ta jazz on the park for three nights, found it very pricey (i know we are in new york but it was NOT worth the money) there was no kitchen, which was not made clear and i only realised when looking to fill my water bottle up at 10pm, after the shops had shut. extremely uncomfy beds and... From beginning to end my experience was straight out of a 'hostel horror' story. You are not totally in hostel hell here but you get a good view of what it might look like (I kept expecting a camera crew to appear and tell me I was in some TV show) The staff were weird (yes but no seemed a... More

I had a good experience there but the place doesn't look like very pretty although it's like a little that underground New York style. My bedroom was good and clean, the breakfast was good too (for being in a hostel of course). The location is good, next to 2 subway stations, you can find everything next like restaurants, grosseries... with... More

It is all about location, location, location ! Good access to the subway - making it easier to explore the city. The museums are so close - this is where I was most of the day ! Helps to access the East side faster due to the location. The dorm was quite comfortable, wash rooms need some attention, however always... More
