My husband and I went to NYC to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We selected Essex House based on its luxury reputation and proximity to the park and Lincoln Center (we had tix for the orchestra). The location could not be better and the check-in experience was wonderful. We arrived in our Essex King room to find it to be rather... More

I stayed here while I was on a business trip and a tradeshow and could not have been happier with my experience! The staff were fantastic and my room (king non smoking on a higher floor) was beautiful. My room did not have a view and was facing the ally... but I actually didnt mind that at all- who sits... I recently stayed at the Essex House with my two college-aged daughters. We stayed in a Manhattan Suite facing Central Park. Everything about our stay was perfect. We checked in at noon on Friday and checked out at 3pm on Sunday. The service was impeccable. According to my daughter, the pull-out sofa was uncomfortable but she survived. The room had... More

We booked our stay on Priceline at the VERY last minute (a few hours before - we were already on our way), and we got a very good price for the luxury and location of the hotel. The room was beautiful and comfortable, and definitely a nice size for Manhattan. The 2 things that may seem little but surprised me... More

We just came back from a wonderful vacation in New York. The Jumeirah Essex House is certainly close to the 5 Star service you would receive at The Fairmont. The location is fantastic, although very quiet you are right across from Central Park, the rooms are larger then most for a NY Hotel, the beds super comfy (we just had... More

Booked using Amex platinum services. Arrived early, 11 am but was able to check in quickly with no hassles. Room was spacious, Central Park suite on the 37th floor. Great view, newly renovated, comfortable beds...even the sofa sleeper was comfy. Room service was on the ball, and we never lacked ice, clean towels or toiletries. Yes, it was expensive, but... More

Thought I was planning a once in a life time experience, I had never stayed in an elite hotel such as this and was really let down by the stay. Let's start with the good...the location of the hotel is awesome. You walk out the front door and there is the grand central park. We stayed in an essex king... More

This hotel definitely lives up to the reviews I read on trip advisor. Great service from the moment our cab pulled up. We got helped with our bags right away, and check in was a breeze. We even got to check in about 2 hours early. The lobby is very fancy. The room is modern yet elegant and not a... More

Since we were going in to NYC for an opera, we wanted to be near Lincoln Center but also near 5th avenue and shopping. No better place than Central Park South which is basically 59th street at the southern border of Central Park. Maybe a 10 minute walk to Lincoln Center, 10-12 to 5th Avenue and shopping. I can't think... More
