If you are looking for a place full of character and charm, this is the place to stay. Nice and clean and the owner is really helpful. The location is good as well, if you do not mind taking the train downtown. It is only a short train ride with the A-train. The area feels quite safe as well, we... More

Can't say anything negative about our experience... from check in to check out. The staff was exemplary and the room was very spacious and tastefully decorated. Our room had its own walk out patio which was very handy. The "pet friendly' option was a great addition. The Inn is conveniently located within walking distance of the subway and only a... More

It was a pleasant surprise to find Bernadette & Julio (inn staff)upon arriving late Sunday afternoon who helped us settle down in our cozy Satchmo's room at the inn. From day one, we felt at home. Breakfast is more like a community gathering over fresh baked cookies and hot breakfast with great coffee to perk you up for the day.... More

We stayed in Harlem inn for 1 week. The rooms are designed in antique style. The breakfast are served by host, who makes so good cookies and gives advice about places in NY and if you like philosophy, you will spend half day talking with this man. I highly recommend this hotel for staying in NY.

We do enjoy our stay at Sugar Hill Harlem Inn. Our host, Jeremy, is a very sensible and interesting man keen on philosophy. He welcomes his guests every morning getting breakfast ready at a pinch and creating moments of rich exchanges with the other guests round the table. He gave us discerning advices to visit NY. We stayed in the... More

I loved my stay at the Sugar Hill Harlem Inn. The room definitely had a homey feel to it. The room did smell a little stale, but after some Frebreeze it was good as new. I stayed in the Miles room. a "short" 2 flights up and there you are. I loved it. I especially love the carpet in the... More

Checked into a beautiful room at noon. When returning in the evening, we found our luggage removed from the room and the room occupied with other guests. Nobody was there to help us, only a phone number left with our suitcases in the hallway. After 15 min (expensive call!) quarreling, we got a taxi to another location with a basement... More

The guest called to book a room for 3 nights. I told her I did not have one for the first night but I had for the next 2 nights. I told her that the B&B nearby had room and she could take a room there for one night and then come here because I have heard the rooms in... More

We just got back from a weekend at the Sugar Hill Inn. I really struggled with the rating for this review. If it was just based on the quality of our rooms and the property &, it would be a 4 or a 5. However, factoring in the total experience, the score drops down to a 3, which I'll explain... More

Prior to arrival an email is sent to everyone notifying them which rooms they will be staying in. However, we made an error and one was not sent out for this reservation. Unfortunately I was not here when they arrived; I would have paid for a cab to bring them to the other building. For less than 3 night stays... More

My husband and I were looking for a place to stay near our daughter and found this quaint, clean and comfortable B&B just a few blocks from her apartment. The location was ideal for us. The neighborhood had a lot to offer - interesting architecture, an old cemetary to explore, Jackie Robinson Park, and we were close to the subway... More

My Girlfriend and I wanted to try something different and found a gem in the process! The bed and breakfast inn was excellent. The rooms were well done (Dizzy Room). The bed was very comfortable and the subway stop is about a block and a half away. Its very easy to get to from downtown. While we didnt take in... More
