I stayed her for my first ever business trip to NY and it was a great experience. While the hotel is old it was clean, easy to get to and to get around while there and has every amenity I needed. The staff was friendly and helpful and I would definitely stay there again! More

We had a pleasant stay. Our room was clean, comfortable, quiet. We like the idea that you can walk to many attractions (e.g. United Nations), restaurants, shops, etc. from here. The neighborhood is not as noisy as the west side theater district. It's also close to Grand Central. There are many restaurants nearby--quite a few are open late--so we did... More

Have stayed here many times and we were just there again April 26-29. Yes, if you get just a standard regular room it will be small but if you have any Marriott status or pay for the upgrade the rooms are very nice but small - this is typical for all older hotels in NYC. I have stayed at the... More

I always stress about finding a good hotel with good business services while in the Big Apple. I can't pay the $350+ rates of most hotels. The Marriott was a nice surprise. It had all one would expect at a Marriott but without the price tag. It's no Ritz but clean, efficient and well resourced. More

We stayed at this hotel last week and it exeeded all of our expectations The. J. W. Suite was very nice, clean and spacious. We loved the location because we were very close to Grand Central Station. The breakfast was a little overpriced. All-in-all another great Marriott experience! More

From the moment we arrived to the day we departed this Marriott exceeded my expecatations. Easy access to the front door, with "Jimmy" the Door Man at our service. Valet parking included in our room rate, location, and small (as expected) but clean well- decorated rooms. The old charm of the hotel only enhanced our trip. We were traveling with... More

Stayed many times at the Marriott East Side including two trips in April. The rooms vary considerably in size and the elevators are small and slow, leading to long waits at peak hours. But overall the execution is good, the concierge lounge is very convenient (although it's puzzling why it isn't open on Friday night or weekend). The staff is... More

This hotel is situated in Manhattan! Great location as you can walk to many nice sightseeing places easily. Restaurants around that area were nice and they all opened till late. Yes, you could feel "New York never sleeps" totally in this hotel! People kept checking in and out even in the middle of the night and bars around the area... More

I am a Marriott person and select it over all other brands (yes, it is the points!)....I have stayed here several times and find it to be a great location and the prices are reasonable for NYC. Good location for transit (near Grand Central Station), relatively close to the Park, shopping, Times Square and subway stations. Staff are pleasant and... More

The New York Marriott East Side is always my first choice for hotels when traveling to New York, especially on business. The property is in a historic building that has been renovated and oozes with character. I am a huge fan of Marriotts and always find their staff responsive and helpful, but the East Side Marriott staff stands out for... More
