We recently stayed at the Algonquin Hotel in New York City. I booked through Priceline and got it through a "bid" process, and I'm always a little nervous when I do this, but this time it worked out perfectly. The staff at the Algonquin were very nice and helpful with ideas for dinner and area attractions (although many of their... More

If you are wanting to stay near Midtown, this hotel is in a great location. The hotel offers tons of character something which seems to be rare these days. I am hoping though when the Hotel re-opens in May it will not take away the charm we fell in love with the last time we stayed. We love staying at Boutique... More

The rooms were very shabby. Rugs snagged and spotty. The bed was on a metal frame that squeaked awful. The service at the bar was the worst. Girls in tiny black dresses that only waited on you if you were wearing a suit or dripping in diamonds. The Algonquin needs to hurry up and get renovated already!! More

This location of this hotel couldn’t have been any better. Then again its NYC so everything is super close compared to where we are from (AZ). I think the staff could have been a bit nicer and helpful and that is the reason why this review received a 4 star and not a 5. This was the first stop on... More

One of the best hotel I have stayed. It's really a signature collection. You would notice that right when you enter the hotel. All the graphics were done neatly and presentable inside the room. Of course, all NY hotels have small room size but this one is special. More

We travel to New York City many times during the year and always stay at the Algonquin. We have found the Algonquin to be our favorite hotel of all others that we have stayed. The lobby is a great extension of your room and you can relax there to have a drink or coffee in the morning. Perhaps the best... More

A weekend in New York at the Algonquin. Wonderfully eccentric, steeped in NYC history, old-fashioned service and values, all refreshing to me but maybe an acquired taste. Incredible location just off Times Square. Rooms tiny, air-con noisy, lifts miniscule, New Yorker cartoon wallpaper wonderful, great cocktails just a collage of fascinating people in the lounge and lobby. More

Nice atmosphere; closed for badly needed renovations; I hope the bathrooms and elevators are redone. Colors inside are dark. brighten the place up. Staff is plesant. Meals are overpriced. More

This was my first trip to NYC for new years. Had a blast. The hotel was very nice and the lobby area was beautifully decorated but.. Small rooms (okay it is time square) and the elevator took Forever! The hotel was being closed for renevations the day we checked so. I would deff try them again and look forward to... More
