Our large family stayed in one of the cabins for a single night. We saw some deer, some turkeys, peacocks... Without the moon, the canyon was extremely dark, and we could see more stars than we have ever seen before, even in remote locations. On the down side, the owner was somewhat gruff, and not pleased that we had brought... More

I have been staying at Ramsey Canyon Cabins every August for 5 years. I go there for the out standing nature photography. Harry and Judy are vary accommodating. I plan on staying in "our cabin" next August.

We stayed at this cabin as part of our annual vacation, but we will never stay here again. While the cabin was nice enough and the wildlife quite beautiful, we found the landlords to be very intrusive. We expected to enjoy the solitude and privacy of a remote cabin, but constant visits from the landlord were intimidating. We had unsolicited... More

Booked a few nights at this cabin expecting privacy. The host came by frequently including every morning to get the bird feeders out that he stored in the cabin we were staying (?) Nice cabin and area but found the host to be very intrusive. Do not stay here if you want privacy.

Bird Feeders are cleaned, filled and placed outside each cabin just prior to our guests arrival. Sugar is kept in the refrigerator for guests to refill the feeders as needed. Extra feeders are available upon request and are stored in the feeder cabinet located outside of the office. We enter the cabins upon request to meet the needs of our... More

Our party of four stayed in the two bedroom hummingbird cabin. We took our time and a few detours so arrived late, (after 6 P.M.). Harry was very gracious and showed us around the cabin, which is wonderful. The beds were great and all you needed to bring was "meat and taters", everything else seemed to be in the kitchen.... The grounds were unkempt and cabins dated. Our host was rude and aggressive. We stayed for the birding and proximity to the canyon, Would not do so again.

Our cabins are original and well preserved, they are kept just as they were with the exception of maintaining them in a safe and comfortable manner. They have all the modern conveniences inside. These are the only original cabins that can be rented in this canyon now. Our 8 acres of forrest are left to nature, providing a safety net... More
