While visiting El Morro National Park on Hwy 53, New Mexico, I asked the ranger where we could eat lunch. He said the closest place is about 1 1/2 miles North of the park. The other way would be in Ramah about 14 miles South. We decided to take a chance. It doesn't look like much and there is seating... More

If Green Chili stew is on the menu, run don't walk to the Ancient Way Cafe. The best in all of New Mexico, and I've tried them all. It's actually not in the middle of nowhere, if you are hiking El Morro National Park. It's located on a wonderful, well maintained state highway. It will be on my to do... More

We stopped after our view of the El Morro monument with the urgings of a park official. The apple pie has pine nuts, spices and good hint of warm peppers with homemade crust four inches tall. Served cold with a warm smile from nice folks. More

We loved staying at a cabin at El Morro. We would have stayed in the new yurt had we known! The restaurant, art gallery across the street, neat crafts were all so much fun! We love finding such wonderful places succeeding 'Off the Beaten Track". We highly recommend the cabins and cafe to those who don't want to stay in... More

We stayed here with our 32' travel trailer over the Labor Day weekend. If you want a laid-back place to park your RV for a night or two El Morro RV Park will suffice, but don't expect anything more. The spots are all first come, first served--while you can make a reservation and pay online before arrival, no particular spot... More

We did not stay here but ate three days is a row at the Ancient Way Cafe while staying at the Cimarron Rose Bed & Breakfast. The restaurant is a hoot and has some of the best food I have eaten in a while. And to find this hidden gem in the middle of nowhere is extraordinary. Actually it is... More

This is a review of the Ancient Way Cafe only. I have no knowledge of the RV Park or other facilities. The cafe's food is first rate and a complete surprise given the remoteness of the location and the very casual ambience. But the food!!! We stayed at the Cimarron Rose B&B and in January there are very few places... More

The El Murro Cafe was a wonderful surprise. It's in the middle of nowhere and it's the only restaurant for miles and miles so our expectations were low. In fact it's a great little diner. The food is innovative and very good. I had the catfish hoagie which was great. They have fresh pies and cakes coming out of the... More

We found this wonderful place just driving by. We did not stay in the RV park, this is a review of the cafe. The food was fantastic! Everything we had was great. Their home made pies are world class. We even came by for the second time on the way back! More

We stayed in the El Morro RV Park with friends and found a great time. The staff had a bonfire for us where we played guitar and sang. Great time! More
