We came up for our daughters UAF grad ceremony. The Regency was a great deal. It was a little bit of an older place, but well maintained. They had a nice and laid back BBQ place on site, Tubby's. My husband loved all the Alaskan beers on tap. The room had a full kitchen in it. They were also large... More

I had a jacuzzi room which was pretty cool. Overall the stay was pretty good. Although even if you put the card out that says make your room up as earlier as possible it doesn't work. Housekeeping doesn't seem to respond to those cards. Then upon check out they informed me I would be charged a smoking fee because the... More

I stayed 2 months; winter rate was a bargain. Very helpful staff. Good cleaning service. I asked for quiet room and it was. Furnishings are cheap and dated but serve the purpose. I would stay there again if in Fairbanks. More

We took our mother to Fairbanks the Christmas of 2011 to fulfill her last bucket dream -- seeing the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights). That we did see and on Christmas Eve, no less! We had booked the trip through Orbitz and the hotel was a package deal in combo with Alaska Airlines. We arrived the week before Christmas and were... More

This hotel is dated but not terrible. One of the amenities that I did like was the fact that it did have a kitchette which is such a cost saver. There is a restaurant and bar in the lower level of the building which served good food. In some rooms there are jacuzzi tubs. The hotel is centrally located near... More

Staff could be friendlier (evening reception clerk, breakfast room hosts, shuttle drivers). Reception desk staff should speak more slowly when listing details. I was very disappointed to learn that the “free shuttle” is not available 6:00-8:00 a.m., because of a contract with the railroad – there are two vans but only one driver on duty. This is an older hotel,... More

This place was probably great 30 years ago, but it is woefully out of date and tired. It's actually boarderline gross with the plush carpet and wood grain baseboard. The room was a good size and had a little kitcehette. I was only there for 4 hours and was glad it was a short trip. More

So, I was pleased with the Regency when I stayed there. It's an old hotel in Fairbanks. But they are taking care of it. The front desk lady was nice and the rooms were clean. It would not be my first choice in hotels, but Fairbanks is extremely expensive in the summer, so I went with them. A few days... More

We stayed here the day prior to our cruisetour, because the cruisetour hotel was very expensive, and since we didn't get in until after midnight it didn't make sense to pay a lot of money. It was very comfortable and spacious and we appreciated the breakfast. The staff was pleasant and stored our luggage while we walked downtown. They picked... More

stay away. There are cleaner, better run hotels in Fairbanks. I've stayed at many hotels in the area and have found that this place is where you can stay only if you cannot find a another hotel. It smells horrible as well. The vent fans in the room can keep you awake too. More
