yes the location is quite, but the people who stay there generally are noisy, someone came over to receptionist around 10PM complaining about a guy who was drunk at the garden and made a lot of noise, but nothing can be done about it. the bath room was dirty, hot water runs out if you use it after everyone else.... This facility is very clean and several amenities have been recently added (like free breakfast and better access to pay-for-access computers). I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the NY loft hostel. It makes you travel slightly off the beaten track and see a part of New York that you wouldn't probably visit otherwise. Neighboorhood looks a little abandoned at first, but I guess that's all part of the "hip" vibe. I'll keep it short: GREAT service, good beds, GREAT location (the neighboorhood really is great once you talk a walk around the block). The only downside is the breakfast.
