We needed a place to stay quickly given the hotel was booked in the area I found this B&B. I was fine about the price until I was realized that we would be sharing an apartment with another couple that night (that has booked the other room in the same apartment). We slept in one room and they in the... More

This review does not match those we receive from people who actually stay here. We clean our rooms and vacuum daily. Our breakfast is fresh daily. The only time a room with shared bath costs $250/night is during our peak month of September, not January. This review appears to be part of a new weekly campaign of attacks by a... More

If you want to pay 5 star Manhattan hotel prices but get dirty sweaty student accommodation with a rude under dressed proprietor then this is your place. Walking out 20 minutes after entering I am still waiting for this horrible person to refund the deposit paid under extreme false pretences. SAVE YOURSELF NEVER GO THERE More

This was a renovated brownstone on a block with similar properties. The location was convenient to NYC transportation, and we could park our car easily in the street (ie: not blocks away) since we drove to Brooklyn. There were a number of nice restaurants within walking distance, as well as small markets, coffee, etc. So location was major plus. Breakfast... More

Escape Guesthouse is an eclectic B&B with charming hosts, in a location that's convenient to lower Manhattan. Worked out very well as we needed to be close to Chelsea on the lower West Side, for a showing of my art. The team there was as helpful as can be. Big comfort to someone from out of town. More

On a recent trip to NYC, I decided to explore Brooklyn. Rather than have an impersonal hotel stay, I chose to look for a guesthouse where I might have a more interesting experience. Escape was great, the location is fantastic, just two blocks from the subway which is perfect for getting into Manhattan or getting over to Williamsburg (make sure... More

Liz and Co. really made us feel at home! We had a big gig in town and this was the perfect way to be ready for it; we arrived relaxed and prepared, it was easy-breezy and an amazing value! We even got our harmonies together on their beautiful grand piano! Fellow performers, Escape to Escape House next time you're coming... More

While traveling, I usually prefer to stay at a B&B instead of a hotel; because I enjoy talking to people who live in the area. Adrianne was nice, and she provided me with a much appreciated map of the area. She showed me a few of her favorite restaurants and their location in reference to 'Escape'. My room was the... More

Had a wonderful 5-day stay at Escape, and almost felt like I lived in Brooklyn again. Thanks Liz, and all your helpful crew! I stayed in the Queen room, which was spacious and comfortable and quiet and had a closet I could store my things in and a nice dresser. The room shares a bathroom and a large living space... More
