Why would one want to talk bad about this place? Not too many people can say they've been to Glacier. Camping was great, lake McDonald was prestine eventhough it is the most visited. Not too many people know its secrets. Explore the whole park and discover hidden beauties. Hint: There's this lake in the national park called Bowman lake and... More

If you are serious about seeing more of Glacier, and are not part of a large party, Fish Creek Campground is a wonderful place to start your extended Glacier journey. To appreciate a map of Glacier, begin with the glorious Going-to-the-Sun Road, fifty-two miles of splendor that bisects the park. GTTS is anchored by the Apgar Village to the west... More

There seems to be a good many small campsites in this campground. Many we saw had enough room to pull a vehicle off the road, space for a picnic table and not much room for a tent of any size. We had a small backpacking tent, so could have fit in most any site, perhaps not comfortably. The campground itself... More

We stayed here our first 3 nights in Glacier. It was what a campground should be - wooded, near a lake, big sites with lots of psychic space, quiet, a traveling community with great etiquette and respect for the surroundings. I had never tried using our refrig on propane and the campground host befriended us and came in and gave... More

The campground setting and Glacier park itself is about the only redeeming thing I can say about this campground. Glacier is beautiful, and being by the lake is nice. However, when I booked this campground several months ago, I expected a lot more than I got. Price wise, you are paying premium national park camping rates ($23) for a campground... More

We stayed in Fish Creek for several days late July. We were in Loop C with a site on the lakeside. We could walk 20 feet to the lake. Very soothing site to camp. Our site was in a somewhat awkward area to set up the tent. However, we set up 2 tents without a problem. The tents were close... More

We have high standards for NPS campgrounds and Fish Creek met them. Sites are a bit closer together than in other places, but there was nice shade, friendly hosts, showers on site, soap in the bathrooms and good drinking water. We had a great 7 days camping in a tent, on a flat site with a good fire pit. No... More

We stayed a week in early July -- there were a lot of mosquitos! There are lots of trees which provide some privacy and lots of shade - little sun gets through. This is one of two campgrounds in which spaces may be reserved. All others are first-come, first-serve. We stayed in Loop B, which does not have showers --... More

Overall, we really liked Fish Creek Campground but fortunately we had a not so great site, D169 -- the site is very small and our tent was literally inches from the neighboring tent the first night. There are lots of other nicer sites in the loop however although some are also very close to the bathroom with very little privacy.... More

In a good spot just by Lake Macdonald (very cold). We were in loop D. Try to stay away from loop A. Not very nice. There are now showers in Loop A. They were just installed. Very clean and good after a couple of days of camping. They don't really tell people about them as I think they are just... More
