My Husband and I had always stayed in the Marriott across the street so were very surprised at how nice and quiet this hotel is. The other one was bedlam most of the time. Our friends stayed there and found the service and room not up to Marriott standards. The JW Marriott was very clean with wonderful rooms and service.... More

After a disappointing experience at the New Orleans Convention Center Marriott (you can see my review on that hotel too) we transferred to the JW Marriott for the remainder of our stay in Nola, which definitely helped make our overall experience in New Orleans more enjoyable. Location is great. It's on Canal Street, so you can access the street cars... More

i stayed at the Marriott earlier this month and could not have been more pleased! We were grateful in that we were able to immediately check-in to our room upon arrival although it was much earlier than the official check in time. The front desk employee, who handled the check-in, made us feel very welcome and gave us valuable information,... More

We stayed here over the weekend in May and were updgraded to a corner room which is spacious and well decorated, but not as luxurious as other JW's we have stayed at. However, the downside is that because of the layout of the rooms, there are four doors that are very close to each other and so the noise level... More

Been to New Orleans for business multiple times and stayed in various hotels including many in the Marriott chain. Agree this is the best one of the chain. Location is perfect in relation to the French Quarter. Not too close and not too far! What make this property stand out though is the club room. As a Marriott Platinum I... More

We have stayed at a number of the hotels in the Marriott chain in New Orleans on recent visits to the city for either Jazzfest of getting our daughter set up at Tulane. Although our preferred hotel in the past has been the downtown Courtyard, I wasn't able to book there on this recent trip and got a very discounted... More

Stayed for a short visit in New Orleans, this hotel location is awesome, the hotel room is bit classic but still a JW Marriott standard. We found difficulties finding where the parking zone is (The lobby is heading to a small street, instead of main road). Overall, great night with great location. Love it Pros: 1. Location is good: Near... More

Great location on Canal St but don't use your GPS to get you there because the address will take you to the canal street entrance which has no parking. You need to go around the block to Commons to check-in and have the valet park your car ($35.00 per day). Check-in was flawless and fast and the staff was professional... More

Overall, the room was only decent but for a high priced hotel the service was lacking. After reserving a room for over $340/night and requesting a quiet room, most hotel where I have stayed will typically honor this request and given the best room available for that same category. The JW Marriott hotel in New Orleans was the first hotel... More
