Stayed here for Jazz Fest 2012. Found that most everything written here is/was true so I won't rehash it all however just had to say what a great place this is to stay. The place is all the reviews say it is...unique is the best word I can use. The bar is one of the friendliest I have ever been... More

If you want something a little different and a little funky, you'll get it at Royal Street Inn, Royal Street Inn and R Bar is not for everyone. It is, as it's name says, an Inn and Bar! The lower half of the property is a local bar in the Faubourg Marginy district of New Orleans. Perfect location if the... More

This inn probably isn't for everybody but it's really very cool and we had a fun stay. Just a few rooms are available upstairs from a popular friendly bar. There's no registration desk, so you check in with the bartender and the whole set up is kind of self-service. We got in very late so the bar was a bit... More

I enjoyed every part of my experience at this inn. Our room had two tokens for free drinks at the bar downstairs. We ran into a hipster chick wearing knit holsters pockets that she made herself. She also sold homemade burrito type food off her bike. I had one with black beans. It was pretty good. More

This place was wonderful, it was close to Frenchmen Street (which is not as touristy as Bourbon Street), but still a short walk to Bourbon. This atmosphere was like staying with a friend instead of a hotel. The bed was super comfy. The cajun lemonade drink at the bar was really tasty. Will definately stay her again! More

As the title reads, I won't be back to this hotel...although it was not horrible. It was my first time in New Orleans (from the northeast) with a friend who was originally from the area. It's about a 5-10 minute walk from the heart of the French Quarter - Bourbon St & the French Market. Not a bad walk during... More

It was just before Katrina that I had stayed here with my wife in the Royal Suite, and this was a return trip with friends for Halloween 2010. Some very noticeable changes, and you have to keep in mind that this is NOT even a 2 start hotel or even a medium level inn, it's a great location for access... More

To be sure, this place is not for everyone. If you want room service or are a light sleeper, you might look somewhere else. But we loved it. The location is perfect. It is just a couple blocks off the French Quarter, which means it feels more like a neighborhood and not a tourist trap. The bar downstairs is definitely... More

My friends and I stayed at the Royal Street Inn the weekend of the Saints-Cardinals game in their Royal Suite. It was an absolute amazing weekend to be in New Orleans and we couldn’t be happier with the level of service we received from the Royal Street Inn and just the overall hospitality of the people. We only got to... More
