I love this hotel. The service is fantastic, and the location can't be beat. But if you are expecting a 5 star quality room, you'll be disappointed because most of the rooms I've stayed in are in desperate need of some maintenance. It really does feel like you're staying at your grandmother's house and she just got tired of keeping... More

I have stayed here several times. I always book the same rooms, so I am not too well versed in any other rooms here. I book a charming and comfortable suite on the third floor and the room next door. Frette sheets, Leontine bed spreads, fluffy robes and morning biscuits and chicory coffee are the norm here. You feel as... More

This quaint hotel is flush to the street in the French Quarter. You have two keys; one to enter from the street and the other for your antique laden room. Enter into a lovely courtyard. At night is blinking with small candles in every nook and cranny. The lounge is actually a small library-type room. Liquor is on a shelf.... More

The public spaces in this boutique hotel are absolutly charming. The location is superb, in the quiet section of the French Quarter, and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The room we had (#22), however, left a lot to be desired: it was very dark, two large windows looked out into a very narrow alley which prevented much light... More

Not a bad place to stay overall. Its charming. Expensive for what you get and even the biscuits they are "famous for" aren't anything to write home about. More

Stayed 3 nights at the Soniat House over Mardi Gras weekend and enjoyed our stay very much. We checked in early on Friday morning around 9:30am and our room was ready, which was great. Check-in was friendly and efficient and the bags were brought to our room right away. They even honored my request to have the exact same room... More

If you appreciate beautiful interiors with gorgeous fabrics and exceptional antiques, the Soniat is your only hotel in New Orleans. It is like stepping into an elegant old French Quarter home. Located in a quiet, beautiful area of the Quarter with gorgeous balconies and courtyards. Nothing cookie-cutter here, it is certainly not for the loud party groups. Once you step... More

Excellent service 24 hours a day. Very nice room although the carpet and bathroom could use refreshing. The inn cat is very friendly and the computer and internet provided for guest use was very handy. We were surprised that breakfast was not included in the room price but we were pleased that it was available. More

My husband and I were recently married in the grand suite (rm 60) and it was absolutely perfect!! The staff was very helpful and the room was simply beautiful. Only regret is that we didn't book the room for an extra night! More
