My husband and I stayed in W french quarter in Easter Time in the wonderful room which has a nice private patio with hot tub. We stayed at this W for a convention but also wanted to be in the quarter so this hotel was convenient. Construction did not bother us at all - we didn't hear any noise unless we were outside or next to the window & it didn't start until about 9am anyway. I think they get room service from a nearby...

The staff is friendly and helpful, but the noise from construction is intolerable. Also, it appears as though maintenance of existing rooms has fallen by the wayside until constuction is completed--both the sink and showerhead in bathroom were broken when we checked in. They should either close the hotel during consutruction, or offer discounted rates.

At check-in, the staff assured us that the construction would not affect our stay. But oh, by the way, there's no restaurant or bar here. "Uhhh, well it's still our vacation. Let's just go with it honey."

They are under major renovation and our room was right above a construction site. No bar, no restaurant, we waited over an hour for a breakfast that never came, were woken up at 8 am with hammers and saws, tv not working, no extra pillows. This place is a mess.
