Marriott has a great location situated just at the begnning (end) of the French Quarter, right on streetcar route, and a 5 min walk away from the river and Harrah's Casino. Rooms are nice, spacious and clean, albeit old and conventional decor. I guess I was looking for some modernity. The lobby is large, with lots of couches and chairs... More

My mom and I spend 3 nights at the Historic Rathbone Mansions on Esplanade in New Orleans in mid-May. We were able to bring my puppy along, and had a gorgeous room with a desk, couch, and large closet, with a fridge and microwave. The breakfast each morning was wonderful with fresh homemade treats and the staff were friendly and... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a yellow ribbon ceremony and our room was pay for by the army. They also pay for the other 60 room that were used by the army. So u can probably understand why I was disappoint to learn that their wifi was $250.00 per computer. Unbelievable!!!! The army did go ahead... More

We have stayed at this hotel several times. It's a great location for the French Quarter, the casino, and the convention center. The views of the Mississippi River from the River Tower facing south are stunning! The elevators run very well; the rooms are clean, spacious, and cool; the fitness center is terrific; there's a Starbucks in the lobby; and... More

Stayed here for 3 nights last weekend for a couple's weekend away. LOCATION: The location is excellent--right by Canal St. and streetcars, 2 blocks from the heart of the French Quarter and walking distance to the warehouse district and its restaurants. CHECK-IN: We checked in late (we had notified them the day before that we would not be there until... More

This is a fairly standard Marriott hotel in a large convention market. They've obviously spent some money upgrading the lobby and the elevators - they did a nice job. The building itself is a bit older but they've obviously done a gut renovation. The one thing that drives me crazy about renovated hotels that were built 20+ years ago is... More

If you want to be in the heart of it all in New Orleans, you can't beat being on Canal just blocks from Decatur and Bourbon Street. It is a great homebase for sleeping, eating, and going out on the town. I was a bit apprehensive of hearing the street noise when we got our room on the 7th floor,... More

I am not usually a big fan of large hotels in cities, especially a city as charming and intriguing as New Orleans. But the New Orleans Marriott - the one on Canal Street a block away from the French Quarter - was a pleasant surprise. There were four reasons for the positive experience. First, the location is ideal. While I... More

The location of the hotel was great! It was only a few blocks away from Bourbon Street and Decatur Street...but far enough to not have to hear the everyday noise that Bourbon Street brings. The size of the room was very small for a typical Marriott. It felt a little cluttered with all the furniture in it, and it seemed... More

We stayed in "Quarter Tower" room #1560. We didn't have the best 'view', but the pool area below was nice, especially with the LED lights in the pool. The room was clean and the beds were very comfy, with high thread count sheets, feather beds and quality down pillows. There were some standard foam pillows for those who prefer them.... More
