This property is spectacular- the rooms well appointed and the atmosphere superb. That's about all the good stuff. The staff and services were lacking severly. From the guy who was always hanging around doing nothing that didn't even say hello the whole time we were there, to the night staff who was sleeping somewhere in the back at 4am when... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at Melrose Mansion in late September 2012. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The location was close enough to all the French Quarter attractions but situated on a quiet street, so you could still enjoy a quiet evening in by the pool or on the gorgeous porch. We stayed in the Miss Kitty room,... More

We arrived earlier than the afternoon check in time and were pleasantly surprised to be greeted and shown to our apartment straight away. The staff were very friendly and the apartment was tastefully decorated in a modern way which did not detract from the beautiful historical mansion features. The rooms were clean, comfortable and like being home from home. The... More

Before booking the Melrose Mansion we have been puzzled by the strange distribution of the ratings: very good and very bad were about 50:50. The building is beautiful, the room was very nicely furnished in a minimalistic way and the location is superb for access to the French Quarter. However - and here come the bad points: the staff is... More

My wife and I stayed here for a week on our anniversary. When we arrived we were greeted at the gate by the hotel staff. They gave us a tour of the hotel, and got us all checked in. The hotel is a mansion that has been converted into a hotel, there are tiers of rooms that you can get... More

We stayed the week between Mardi Gras and St. Patty's day and found the mansion a fantastically complete New Orleans experience. From the balcony that spanned the entire length of our suite to the laid back attitude of the staff, we felt like we were staying with friends instead of in a big box hotel. They offered us early check... More

Modern luxury in a historical hotel. Walking distance from the French Quarter and Historical Districts. It felt like we were in Paris Fr, complete with rooftop balcony views. We booked on Hotels.com, when we arrived Michele charged our card for $190 dollars, then in 3 days she said they would credit us $150. She did not remember us one hour... More

I booked a three day stay at the Melrose Mansion in New Orleans on the 25th of January for 13-15 February. On February 10th my mother passed away and I needed to return home to make funeral arrangements and settle her personal affairs.
