This hotel has been around for a long time, but you would never know it. Right in the French Quarter, 2 blocks from Bourbon street (yet quiet inside), minutes from all the best restaurants, Walgreens next store for snacks and personal items. Fantastic rotating bar in the lobby - big and live music. Great drinks. Roof has a pool (but...

The Hotel Monteleone is centrally located in the French Quarter and walking distance to New Orleans' central business district. The hotel has been recently renovated with granite countertops and marble floors in the guest room bathrooms. My "standard" room was relatively small with an even smaller bathroom, but adequate for a solo one night business traveller. I liked the fact...

Our experience at Hotel Monteleone was excellent--great location, service, and accommodations. We were very pleased.

The Hotel Monteleone is a New Orleans classic and doesn't disappoint if you are looking for a charming, family owned hotel with wonderful service and a fantastic location. The rooms are smaller, which is typical of the older buildings in the French Quarter. The hotel is one street away from Bourbon Street, making it close enough to a lot of...

We've been to NOLA many times and this was definitely the nicest hotel we have stayed. We've been to The Royal Sonesta before which is comparable in price and The Monteleone was much better. The finishes in the room were very nice. Bedding was comfortable with nice thread count on sheets. Rooms are a bit small, but for the age...

The decor and facade of the building is beautiful however our room was small and tired but perhaps in...

We stayed for four nights as part of an extended trip to southern USA. What a disappointment. We had paid for a 'preferred king' room which was on a high floor and overlooked the river. However it and the ensuite bathroom were extremely small given the cost we paid.
Whilst we had been aware that the restaurant was being refurbished...

I really enjoyed my recent stay at Hotel Monteleone. I had a standard king size room, which was plenty of space for 1-2 people. The location of the room was away from the street side, so it was quiet and peaceful. The Carousel Bar was great - although I never got an opportunity to actually sit at the bar....it was...

I stayed two nights in this hotel. I won't contest that the rooms are lovely, the bathrooms have marble, and the building is gorgeous. But the hotel lacks three of the main features I want in a hotel: comfort; a good night's sleep; and high quality service. In regard to comfort, my room was quite possibly the smallest hotel room...
